HELP!! Someone other than myself servicing my truck turns into a nightmare...
Good luck with the truck. I'm sure that short term the motor will be fine. But the overfill most likely stressed the internals. I would specifically ask the Region Ford Warranty Rep if your warranty is good if something happens down the road. Also, find out the term lenght that the lube shop is liable for damage.
my own Oil Change experiences.
1. I've had a shop leave my drainplug loose as well. My driveway went from being spotless to an oily mess overnight. Unfortunetaly, the plug had a rubber seal that they had also broken, so I had to do another oil change just to fix it.
2. Another shop used to short-change me 1 qt of oil each change. I was convinced that my motor was burning oil for about 1 yr. Then one day I checked it immediately after they had "added" oil and gave me the keys. I ripped the service manager a new one and reported them to the BBB.
3. Jiffy Lube forgot to put the drain plug into my neighbors old Cavalier. The car had about 120,000 miles at the time. she made it about 20 feet before the block siezed. Jiffy Lube replaced the motor with 0 issues. They even gave her a rental while it was being performed.

None of my cars or trucks have seen NO ONE but myself including the dealer. once i buy they never see me again till its time to buy another unless its warranty work but(knocks on wood) havent had any warranty work done in about 10 years
^^^ Some of us have jobs and family...I dont wanna, and dont have the time to change my oil. I have learned to check it when I get home, and I mark my oil filter. If I change it myself, disposing of the oil kills my neighbors grass.
If I'm not mistaken this is the second instance of shops doing something wrong today, the other guy didn't get his tires rotated as promised, makes you really wonder how qualified the techs are....I do take mine in to get oil changes done, but as soon as i pull out of that bay i check the dipstick.

either that, or 1 guy in the shop is "qualified" and everyone else is in qualified limbo
