Pros and Cons
I am intersted in purchasing a Edge Evo Programmer but i've notice on the forum here that some are having problems with it and some don't so i thought and ask what everyone thinks. Should I get it or not?
Most of the problems are user error from either not reading the manual or being idiots and not thinking things through before jumping the gun and trying to fix a problem themselves.
Some of the main problems can be as follows:
- LCD screen problems (which is a flaw in LCD screens in general) in extreme cold or hot weather. These all return to normal after the truck cab becomes a decent temp.
- 4th gear shudder. Edge knows of this problem but most users don't let edge know instead they proceed to just complain about it.

I've disconnected my battery, kicked my edge cable, unplugged the edge cable during all types of scenarios (truck running, truck turned off, etc) and have never had a problem.

he pretty much hit the nail on the head. I have yet to feel any shudder at all, but i also haven't upgraded to the latest release (been running fine for almost a year)
i really like mine... i do however have the shudder...but then again i dont really use level three, why pay more money for gas to have a shudder?

I have had mine for almost a year. And no problems what so ever. It doesn't matter what level I run or what version of the software that I have ran. I would buy it again in a heart beat!!
