Another F150 wreck

Looks like this is the year where we all wreck our trucks. Unfortunately for me, today I got into an accident. I went up to northern NH for the day to ride snowmobiles and four-wheelers on one of the lakes. On the way home I came around a bend and hit a frost heave in the road. The trailer went sliding out to the right, caught traction and wiped back to the left. The trailer crossed over into the other lane and wiped the trucks a$$ end to the left. The trailer then collided with a telephone pole cutting the pole in half while ripping the trailer completely into two. My four-wheeler caught the pole and was ripped apart and the other one got catapulated and flipped head over heel for about 50 feet. The truck ended up in a ditch 35 feet from the telephone pole. All of the vehicles had to be towed. The only cosmetic damage done to the truck is to the rear left quarter panel, but unfortunately I think I tweeked the frame. I test drove the truck around the street and it was shaking like a ba$tard and kinda going down the road slanted (as if I were trying to drift). One of my buddies did take pictures, but I don't have them yet. If I can get a hold of them, I'll post them later. I guess I'm just happy I'm alright although I do feel bad because the other quad wasn't mine. Hopefully insurance covers everything since I was towing the trailer and the quads.

Wow...that really sounds like a mess. Glad to hear you are in one piece and I hope everything goes smooth for you with the insurance.

I just got through all the wrecked truck stuff and I'm past it all now. My fiance wrecked Tuesday, I got all my personal stuff out of and off the truck Wenesday. Then Thursday the insurance looked at it and told me what I would get back for the truck....I was very disappointed in my insurance. Saturday I got my new truck, that is a lot better then the old truck. And now I'm riding out the last month of my current insurance policy before switching to a new company.

I hope all goes well for you and it's over quickly...I was lucky that it all happened so quickly.

Sorry to hear about your truck!! Almost makes me wonder if I should just leave mine sitting in the garage until this rash of wrecks is over with. But then again it sits 5-6 days a week the way it is.....

This really has been a bad couple of weeks with many of us on this forum. From Thumps accident, to the guy who got hit by the bus, to the guy's fiance who crashed on the hill...it seems like all of us are getting into accidents. I talked to my buddy who came to pick me up and he said he got some pictures of the quads but couldn't get any of the truck before they took it away. He is going to send them to me and I'll atleast post those and see if I can get some of the truck when I go to see it tomorrow at the shop.

I feel your pain man I wrecked my F-150 this past monday when I hit this woman driving through an intersection. It wasnt all that bad until I found out that my right front was all jacked up. I couldnt even drive it home becasue the tie rod on my right front along with the shock and tire was damaged so I had to have it towed. Its gonna cost me 1440 bucks to repair everything so I have to rive my moms Explorer around until I get my baby back.

Just got off the phone with the body shop and it looks like the frame has been damaged. They had it on the machine when the guy called me and he said that when the trailer collided with the pole it yanked the trailer hitch back about 3 inches on the frame. I also spoke to a buddy of mine who works for the electric company and the electricity pole I took out had a transformer and everything on it. He said that costs near 5k to fix. I haven't heard back from the insurance company yet but I hope they are going to cover all of the damages

Glad your okay. It could have been a lot worse.

Insurance should cover the cost of the electric pole.

Talked to the insurance company today and they are covering my truck, the electric pole, my friend's trailer and his quad. Unfortunately they are not covering my quad because it doesnt fall under property damage like the trailer and my buddies quad and it wasn't listed under my vehicle insurance. Seeing as though I just bought it a few months ago, I'm eating a large cost on that. Well here are some pics of the quads...I havent been able to get to the body shop for the truck yet.
