after seeing the quads, I can just imagine what you went through. The good news is your OK, insurance will cover it. Sorry to hear man.

Wow, man, that sucks. Glad your OK and I hope everything works out. By the way, which quad was yours, the Brute Force or the Prairie? The Prairie appears to be repairable from the look of the pics, but the BF looks like its a parts machine now. I kinda have a soft spot for the Prairies, as you can see below.

Mine is the Brute Force. The prairie is my buddies and it doesn't look too bad in the pictures, but when you look at it in person you can tell its pretty much totalled. The back side of the quad must have hit the ground first because the rear of the frame is bent towards the ground which caused the center of the frame to be pushed upward. Basically the frame has been bent into a pyramid. The insurance guys are all coming out tomorrow so we will see what they say about everything. I may try to claim mine under homeowners insurance so I don't have to eat the full cost of the machine.

And it can't be covered under property damage with the company you have home owner's insurance under? Or comprehensive damage under the company you have the vehicle policy under?

Seems odd....

Property damage will only cover the damage that I did to other people's property (buddie's trailer and quad and the electric pole). Homeowner's insurance is looking to see if they will cover my quad. It looks as though it will, it will just have to be a seperate claim from the vehicle insurance. I'll have definate answers tomorrow.

UPDATE to a ****ty situation: The truck is being fixed as we speak and my buddy is getting a check for his things next week. After much arguing with insurance, it has been decided that they will not cover my quad at all. I am eating $6k in this loss. Major bummer. I guess on a positive note all of my buddies stuff was covered it just sucks that I have to eat the 6k that I still owe on the quad seeing as though I've only made two payments on it.
