which is better to have for winter driving a 4x4 or a differantal lock.i don t do any off roading at all looking into a ford again .and also looking to move up to the northeast.so what does everyone think?thanks
got 18" of snow the other night while skiing- 4x4 worked perfectly in conjunction with the stock limited slip rear differential-
i live up here in montana, and we are snow-covered from mid october thru mid april- 4x4 is all you ever need for standard operation

I have 4x4 with a limited slip in the rear and that provides me with everything I need to cope with the winters where I live. 4x4 gets me through even the heaviest storms that blow through here, while the LS keeps me moving when there isn't enough snow on the road to justify using full 4 wheel.
