Chrome running boards flaking

We bought a 2006 Lariat in Dec 2005. My wife was washing it this weekend and noticed that the chrome on the running boards is already starting to flake off. Anyone else have a problem like this???

Wow, that's strange.

I've had mine for just over a year and they're as good as the day I put them on. I do get some "cloudiness" every now and then but a wash and some light WD-40 works like a charm every time.

It may be a warranty issue or there may even be a product on the market that reduces/illiminates the flacking.

Good luck.

Those are OEM'd by DEE ZEE for Ford. Take it in, they should be covered by warranty.
