Pro comp lift?

Hey guys...i've been reading up on the lifts and im not sure what to get. Pro comp is definently the cheaper one because of the big spacer. Are there any risks with the pro comp? Who has a pro comp and hows it worked out for you? Its hard to beat for $1088Could you guys post pictures?thanks Sorry if this is real similar to another post

Also..wheres the cheapest place to get a fabtech?

I have it and I haven't had any problems. If your going to offroad, maybe get the upgrade without the spacer or go a diffrent route.

I have the procomp and I love it no problems with it yet then again the only places I have to offroad is just a bunch of sand dunes at the lake so its fine for me. If your gonna do heavy offroading you might want to go a stage 2 procomp lift with the mx6 shocks or just go with another brand if you like.Goodluck with your decision.

The only sell point of this one vs. Fabtech was the money. Being $700 was a BIG draw, otherwise it would've been a Fabtech for sure for me.

Dang, where you get it for 700?

I put a procomp stage 1 lift on my truck myself. It turned out great. I offroad a little and it seems to work awesome!! For the money it's hard to beat.

Hey Powerage, i got the same bullbar as you, and im looking to get the skid plate, did the bullbar get in the way at all of the mounts for the skid

Also, are you just running a 6" lift, or do you have it stacked with a leveling kit, cause your trucks looks pretty big for just a 6"

I put a Pro Comp 6" lift on about 4 months ago. I love it. Best mod I have done. And not a single issue to date.

I do tow a trailer occasionally. I will get the Pro Comp Tractions bars soon to help combat axle wrap.

i have had the rancho 4", now have the RCD 6", both are very heavy duty kits by just the fit and finish, it just so happens both kits also advertise using only grade 8 hardware... i have seen the procomp kits and they just looked cheaper in comparison, im a little OCD, so i just couldnt put something that looked cheaper for my suspension, being that if something goes bad, then everything goes bad. the fabtech kit is the next thing though, ive only seen it on some other trucks around here, but it looks heavy duty, and people dont really have complaints about them here on the forum, but ive actually heard of some complaints about the procomp lift and shocks.

I have a pro comp anf beat the crap out of it. In my one thread about are desert ride I had the stock spacer on one side while my donahoe coilover got rebuilt and that spacer took a beating, like a big jump. I have bent my lower controll arm and stipped the top caps nut clean off the shock shaft end, but havnt had any lift problems, other then it really brings the brohoes around, haha.

Speaking of Pro Comp kits.....I have a question...

The amount of backspace required for using new wheels.....they say it's up to 5".....so anything OVER 5" won't work? ie: 5.78", 6.18" etc, etc?

Lately I had been thinking of going and getting the basic Pro Comp spacer 6" lift, but the new MM951's I bought (18x9, 5.78" BS) I think won't fit properly, from what I've read.
