Should i re-tint?

Hey guys...i just can't stand not having my tint. It makes the truck look so much better and i like having the extra privacy. Should i attempt to get the windows re-tinted?
Also..if you get pulled over, and just pay the fine can your tint stay on?

Usually tint fines are paid after proof of removal.
Ive had to re-tint on various cars more than a few dozen times.

Well I don't know how the tint laws in PA but in MD if you get pulled over its just a repair ticket so you have to take it off then go to the DMV show them it's off and your good to go theres no fine. on that note I got my tint done at a place that offers a warranty ( cost 60$ extra) so if I get pulled for tint I take my truck back to them they take it off and after I show the DMV its off I go back and they put it all back on for like $20.

BTW that place it called D&L window tinting

I dont know the laws in your state. But in California, if you get a tint ticket then it is a "fix it ticket". The fine is $12 IF you show proof the window tint was removed and have the ticket signed by an officer. Most non-professional tint guys around here will actually give you a removal reciept with your tint job. You just fill in the date later. However, if you elect to pay the whole fine ($240) then there is no removal required. If you get pulled over the next day, it is another ticket, but that is the price you pay for looking cool. (errr umm, I mean blocking out harful UV radiation)

When they pulled me over for my tint 2% all around they cut it front and back (they claimed you cant go as low as you want out back, which is WRONG) they put X's in the tint. and i got a 500 dollar fine. They never asked if it came off or not, but the big x's in my tint brought it right off. my tint sucks now i have factory out back and a nice see through 30% up front. I also got pulled over at night

what % are you guys putting in the back of your trucks? I can only get 30% up front which sucks. What would look good? The prices are crazy too like 250 bucks for the two rear doors and a split rear window.

I think if you pay the fine, you don't have to remove it, depends on what the ticket says I think. But you'll probably **** the cop off and he'll keep stopping you for it if you leave it on. You might want to just try 35% tint instead, it's better than nothing, and might not draw as much attention to the cop to stop you. That's what I put on mine and no stops yet...knock on wood.

I have 5% on all the glass except the windshield, and I guess it depends on where you live. 35% is legal where I live.

I got mine done for $145 and i have 5 on the back to and rear window, and 10 on the front two. I also have a brow that is 5. I dont know what i would do without the tint, i love it! I had to drive my dads tahoe for a week and it sucked cause all it has is factory tint. Theres nothing like being stuck in traffic with see through windows and the sun directly in your face
