ir your talking about the little stub on the right side that hits the black plastic on the lightbar when you close the tailgate. I have the same thing all i did was notch the lightbar so it would clear.

I have the samething also and didnt notch it either. Just mounted the 60'' bar right below the the notch.

I had the same probelem on mine with the pin 08 lariat. Mine is on and tail gate does not hit. On the bumper were it steps down going under the tailgate i mounted it there flus up agains the bumper were it drops off and tail gate does not hit, misses it by a little bit. its the recon 60" fire and ice one. When you install it make sure surface is really clean, also if it is not 60 degrees or higher you need to take a heat gun and heat up the pads some and they get really tacky, put it in place and hold it for a min on each pad then i took small towels and put it between the bar and the bottom of the tail gate for more pressure on the pads over night and have not had any issues with it at all. Ill take some pics and put them under my profile.

hey 05supercrew do you have the pads mounted on the bumper or the metal in the back?

The metal in the back and 2 self tapping screws.

are you able to open your tail gate with out the pin hitting the light bar
I tried that first and the pin hit it.

Use some Screws

I mounted a Line of Fire on my truck and the tape came loose over time. I would use at least three screws to hold it on. Luckily it did not fall out while I was driving or anything.
