Exclamation It tried to self destruct!

I was on the highway on ramp this morning and my whole truck started to shake! It didn't wanna go above 50mph, the transmission light started flashing, it really felt like the truck was gonna fall apart around me, it would stop shaking for a second or two then start again. It did that for a minute or two. I could fell resistance when I tried to give it gas to make it go faster than 50mph.

Is this the vibe everyones talking about???

That's very different from the driveline vibration that everyone is talking about... you need to have it checked. It's undoubtedly thrown a few codes.

I got a flatbed coming to get the p.o.s.
I really hope it threw a code, they still don't know for sure whats wrong with my engine, now I might have a transmission problem...I'm really starting to hate my truck.

I had a problem similar to that after going to level 3 on my Edge. After returning to stock and then level 3 again it worked fine. Are you running the Edge or any tuner?

Don't fret... maybe it's something half-way simple. Good luck to you and let us know how it turns out.

Same thing happened to me last winter twice.

Both times were on slow accelleration up a grade.

Mine needed a reflash for the tranny.

Basically it shifted rapidly through the gears into OD and overloaded the engine, causing massive bucking and jumping like taking off with a manual tranny in high gear.

Hasn't done it since (knocks on wood).

I had something similar, had to limp 20 mi8les to the dealer. The little wrench light came on, used about 6 gallons of gas to go the 20 miles. They replaced the throttle body, no problems since. It had 1600 miles on it at the time.

Ford just called me, it was a misfire on cylinder #5, they replaced the fuel injector and the spark plug and told me to come and pick it up. Hopefully thats the only bad fuel injector.

That's good, hopefully that's the last trip to the dealership.

Are the injectors for 04-07 a new design? I have been hearing of some of them leaking and causing problems, even hydrolocking engines.

I think the 04 are different than the 05-06's They changed manufacterers then and I think the 04's are actually better.
