It tried to self destruct!
I was on the highway on ramp this morning and my whole truck started to shake! It didn't wanna go above 50mph, the transmission light started flashing, it really felt like the truck was gonna fall apart around me, it would stop shaking for a second or two then start again. It did that for a minute or two. I could fell resistance when I tried to give it gas to make it go faster than 50mph.
Is this the vibe everyones talking about???

I got a flatbed coming to get the p.o.s.
I really hope it threw a code, they still don't know for sure whats wrong with my engine, now I might have a transmission problem...I'm really starting to hate my truck.

I had the same problem the other day truck started to shake like I had two flat tires, I pulled over tires were fine, so I started to drive slowly at first and than faster and no problem, everything seems to be fine now,let us know if you find anything out. this only happened once so I'm not sure.

Same thing happened to me last winter twice.
Both times were on slow accelleration up a grade.
Mine needed a reflash for the tranny.
Basically it shifted rapidly through the gears into OD and overloaded the engine, causing massive bucking and jumping like taking off with a manual tranny in high gear.
Hasn't done it since (knocks on wood).

I had something similar, had to limp 20 mi8les to the dealer. The little wrench light came on, used about 6 gallons of gas to go the 20 miles. They replaced the throttle body, no problems since. It had 1600 miles on it at the time.

Ford just called me, it was a misfire on cylinder #5, they replaced the fuel injector and the spark plug and told me to come and pick it up. Hopefully thats the only bad fuel injector.
