Just noticed my Edge was not on, no lcd display and no lights. Truck still runs and I did check the connections. Anyone had this happen? any ideas?

Check your fuses, there is one that supplies the 12 volt power to the OBD connector.

I read on another website that if the edge is exposed to direct sunlight for a long amount of time that that can happen. Call edge and they should replace it for free EDGE TECHNICAL SUPPORT- 1(888)360-3343

I don't believe the sublight one, but that is just me.

If it just quit, check your fuses, sames exact thing happened to me. Only I popped the fuse in the lights and luckily it also runs the OBDII port. So before I asked the stupid question from Edge I fgured it out. It is a 20Amp Yellow (solid or murky yellow, others are clear) fuse.

.

Sorry, but it does happen. During the summer mine went black several times when exposed to the direct sunlight. I started laying a towel over it and my GPS and that helped a bit. Screen would clear up after running the A/C for a few minutes.

That has happened to me, but only when my battery died. When the batteyr died it was messed up really bad, truck wouldnt run right, was smoking, sputtering, and I had to disconnect it and turn the truck back to stock and re-install the tune.

What about a battery change? should the pcm be returned to stock before or can it be changed without messing up the EDGE?

I would definately reccomend it. I was really worried when it wouldnt run rightm thought it lost the code or something. So to be safe I would definately return the truck to stock. I am not sure why it would matter, but it did.

I have wondered about the battery change thing. I don't even have my edge yet and have wonderd what happens if it drains all of a sudden.

I've had this happen before and I just simply unplugged the unit and plugged it back in and all was well.

You dont have to return your truck to stock because its another program that stays in the memory of your truck your stock file is moved to the edge while in another setting
