IMO, the Chevy grille is too long horizontally...looks clownish ...GMC on the other hand looks better...sorta like the F150...

Ford can't be that stupid to ever re-use that name.

Unibody construction and front wheel drive doesnt count as a truck in my opinion. You might as well have posted a picture of an Civic. But on the flip side I bet even that POS will out run a F150.

And I will tell you the main reason I have decided not to get another F150 at his point is my truck (which is always babied and has never seen a dirt road much less be abused off road or raced) has 32,000 miles on it and in all honesty it feels like it has twice that many miles on it. The interior wear is awful for lack of a better word and the power and fuel economy has certainly started falling. I am just not at all impressed with MY TRUCK at this point. There is not a single thing that is wrong with the truck that can be fixed, its just not aging well IMO. I have had 2 Chevrolets and 3 Dodges that I put over right at 100,000 miles on and I can tell you I dont think this truck will be in near as good a shape at 100,000 as they were. The Ford may have a nicer interior initially but it just doesnt last IMO (again this is based on my truck compared to my past trucks...all black leather BTW). So with that said I am just looking at something other than a Ford this time. If you bleed Ford blue I am sure you will disagree and say the F150 is the only truck you would own and yadda-yadda and thats great, I am glad you are so impressed with yours.

Hmm..,
Not bad at all.
(GMC Sierra 2007 front end on my RegCab FX4)

(GMC Silverado 2007 front end on my RegCab FX4)

Even tough the Sierra front end looks very good.., still falls on the average and it will not stand out as much as the Silverado's, for example..., when there are several vehicles lined up facing front on a stop light.

Salutes

I don't like them more than Ford trucks. I don't want to convert FORDs into chevys, I just happen to know some PhotoShop and also liked the new Front End of the chevys, tought to make an experiment and I think it improves the looks for my taste, that's all.
Is just the HeadLights and Grill.

I was shaky on posting this thread(just expressing my toughts) but people have reacted very well and objective on expressing their opinions too.

I will remove the chevy photos if that's disturbing for most of the users here

That is just like putting any other after market grill. I think it looks good. Once you change it from factory it doesn't matter where the grill came from. It's all about taste and I think it looks good and I say do it if you can!!!!!!!!!!

If you want a truck, an Avalanche is not the answer. It's just an SUV with an open cargo space instead of an enclosed cargo space. It loses the advantage of a protected place to haul stuff without giving the advantage of a truck. Ford tried incorporating the bed and body in the 60s and found out that the body panels buckled if you used it as a truck. There has to be a space between because the frame will flex some regardless of how well it is built. On the Ridgeline forum, some people have experienced buckling due to body twist when they use them hard on uneven surfaces. An Avalanche is perfect if you don't really need a truck or and SUV and like to buy a lot of gas.

I like both the new Chevy/GMC headlights & grills... it ends there. The panels look nasty and the truck overall looks very much like the Dakotas.

I too like the GM headlights, but not as much as the SD. Perhaps a SD front end would look best and wouldn't upset the home team

What's the over/under on the year the emblems will be hitting 18 inches? More crap for the bigger is better philosophy. That GMC emblem on the grille is disgustingly too big.

Sure it is.

Yes it is an SUV on a truck frame and the cargo space can it can be opened or closed with the midgate opened or closed.

For the reasons stated above, No it doesn't.

2 things, 1: trucks are built much better today so it doesn't surprise that Ford couldnt make this design 40 years ago. 2: The Ridgeline is a weak uni body design the Avalanche is not. Its not surprising the Honda has these problems.

The Avalanche is a great design, it can haul stacks of 4 x 8 lumber or sheet rock all day, then comfortably carry a family of five on the weekends, including lots of cargo that is covered and out of the elements. It can also carry 4 adults and a 4x4 or a motorcycle on a camping trip. The real advantage is that it can do all this while being very easy to manueaver, drive and park. Name another vehicle that can do all of these things and still be parked in a standard 21' x 21' garage?

As to the original post, I think the new Silverado is ugly all the way around. GM would have been better using the Tahoe/Yukon styling instead of these new truck designs.

LMAO, dude these mod ideas on picture....takes guts to do this on these Fords with all the guys who have blind faith to a company that consistently done outstanding work.

I think they all look really good.

I'm going to laugh SO HARD when the refresh comes out next year because I seriously bet they're going to revamp the grill and hood to give a small "face-lift" to the F150. In some shape or form it'll look like one of your pictures.

Duke
