Well as far as i can tell, my unlock output wire is dead. I hooked the alligator clip of a test light to the disconnected unlock output wire from the module and touched a positive 12V source and hit the unlock button on the 2way remote and the test light does not light up, so i'm getting nothing from the unlock wire (unless you have better way to test). I was told to use the factory disarm wire and it would unlock the doors, but i think i'm gonna try to get this module exchanged for one that works. Hopefully it isn't installation error on my part though.

As a side note, once i put my steering column shroud back on I cannot get it to RS anymore. It's in the PATS system cause the red LED light blinks and i also can RS the truck when the key is in the ignition. Off goes the damn shroud again after i wrestled it back on the first time. Good times!

Well with that attitude I suggest checking out autoalarmpro.com Derrik is the owner of that website and he offers everything I do and sometimes at a slightly cheaper price. I'm sure he can accommodate you.

buening I have had similar issues with the Scytek and Panther systems. I would suggest getting that system replaced. The deal is that the factory disarm opperates like this. When the vehicle is remote started that wire sends a pulse to disarm the factory alarm before it starts it. It also sends a pulse before you unlock the doors. That way the vehicle doesn't think a thief is doing something. Your problem you will run into if you use factory disarm for your unlock is that when you remote start the vehicle the system will unlock your doors thus defeating the purpose of the alarm.

As far as your bypass module issue that is strange. You never stated what you were using for a bypass module. I can only assume it is a RF antenna type that wraps around the ignition. I highly recommend getting yourself a XKO4 or PKF3 bypass module. These modules tap directly into the vehicles PATS module wiring. There is a green four pin plug with four wires comming out of the PATS ring around the key cylinder. The module connects to the white/green and green/orange wires and will work a 100% of the time regardless of weather. Extreme hot or cold weather will tend to make the RF types fail. Isn't that the usuall time that you would want the remote start to work at its best...lol
