Sirius Question
I have no answer to that. I use the hardwired FM modulator, and have no issues. Extremely clear.
One benefit being if you have the rear seat entertainment package that uses the aux input, you can still integrate the Sirius.

Thanks. I need to get one or the other, cus the wireless modulator is useless, like listening to old vinyl records...
So if the wired FM modulator is crystal clear, that sounds like a good plan...

I forgot one other benefit over the PIE... The price.
I too have the wired FM modulator. No static, no drifting, nothing. It's a world apart from the FM transmitters. The only drawback and its not a huge one, is the signal is limited to FM's frequency response 50-15,000 Hz. But Satelite radio is pretty compressed anyhow and you will only notice it on about 5 of their channels.
Previously having Sirius in my old truck with both a hardwired fm modulator and PIE FRD04-AUX. I can say the PIE unit far exceeds the fm modulator. I remember when i first got the PIE, Sirius sounded so good i sat in my truck for an hour listening to it.

I too had the hardwired Sirius and channel 1, 8, 20, 100, 101 and maybe one or two others I could tell. The rest are so compressed, they are not broadcasting 20-20hz anyhow.

Sorry no disrespect, didn't mean to insult any of you old-timers. Vinyl does have it's place (in history)..... Was just looking for some pointers on how to remove static noise by hardwiring the Sirius Radio....
Another quick question....what options do I have for hardwiring the power to the Sirius Radio...I'd prefer not having to plug it into the 12V outlet.....
Can I just cut the Sirius cig. plug off and hardwire it to the 12 V outlet wires, to the cig. lighter, or back of the radio??
or..
Should I add a hidden cig. outlet behind the dash and plug it in?
Any suggestions are appreciated...
(Man, I hope I did not offend any of the vinyl record guys...)
