First Chevy Kill

I have an 04 screw 4.6 exhaust S/C 1714 on 91+ Performance Tune, CAI Intake 3.73gears

Cruising around the street's last night and had a 4dr Chevy pull up possibly about an 02-03 model 4x4 with 3 teenage punks with the windows down and the music just blasting away.... Didnt think much about it... Light turned green and he just nailed it... Spun the tires, swerving left and right acting like an idiot..... I just laughed and mumbled a little bit.... Something to the affect of DumbA$$ Kids......

I caught up with them at a light on the edge of town about a 2000'ft stretch before the rd chokes down to one lane.... They were laughing and pointing and one of them said something about Slow Azz Ford.... I figured I could stay strong and act my age or just lower my standards a little and shut them up. (Look at the title of the thread to see what I ended up doing)

I flipped the off, smiled, pointed to the light..... a few seconds later it was green and off we went.... He spun pretty good from the start... I hooked, pulled about a truck length.....He started to pull up on me untill my truck shifted into 2nd and then it was just a slow steady pull away from him... I ended up about 2-3 truck lengths on him and never lifted b4 I ran out of lane and by that time I was well enough ahead to take his lane and roll out of the gas... lol It was great.... I figure we were probably even with the x-tra weight he had (2 other big boyz riding with him and he was a 4x4 and Im in a 2wd) and the fact I hooked at the start and just pulled away.... but reguardless of it..... Ford was the first one to leave.... and the first one to get to my street to turn off on.... I was kind of happy with the outcome.... Never raced another truck since the mods, and it was nice to atleast whip a a truck full of CHEVY punks!

No offense but why do people still post about racing thier trucks? It is a truck, not ment to race. Also again no offence but the people who are always racing thier trucks have 4.6 . How do thses people with 4.6's spin their tires off the line and I have a 5.4, tuned and intake, and 3.73 and can only cherp them

He didn't say he spun his tires (or said he's able to do that) and he said he's not the type person to try and race all the time.

It wasn't like he was running a road course but rather acceleration from a light out of town away from pedestrains. Just about everyone has floored their truck from a stand still, racing or not.

The other kid spun his tires.

lol, if we all owned a Titan not ONE person would complain about posting your street runs. I think the arguement should be why would you race an F-150 without enough mods to keep up with stock competition.

Mybad I read that he spun pretty good. I just dont understand the racing thing, maybe I just cant afford a ticket because ill lose my CDL if i get a ticket racing, in my case i have nothing to prove compaired to needing a CDL to do my job.

Well, at least I'm outta the spot light now

However, I will cut Ethan some slack on the CDL thing. I know that's your bread and butter so I do understand that you have to think twice before you do something like racing.

my original thing on 4.6's wasnt bad, it was asking how I read all these threads on racing and they mostly have 4.6's and they beat this or that and this burn from the start. I was saying I cant even burn from the start so how does a 4.6.

Edited because Rockpick wanted to end this
