How is your Ford ?

How is your F-150 holding up? My 05 XL 4.6 4x4 has not had one issue since I took the keys a few months back. ( 45,000 KM ) My 04 F-150 5.4 barley lasted threw my two year lease, and the 02 F-150 I had before was all bad.

I'm troubled that a used and abused work truck performs better than any hew Ford truck I have owned.

Has Ford turned a page for the better?

My '04 XL 5.4 has lasted 39,000 miles and not one problem. Perfect condition. It runs better than the day I drove it off the dealership lot.

With 8k on the clock, mine is great!

Ford's need to be worked and abused once in a while. Even though the only abuse mine gets is the occasional 5500lb travel trailer hooked behind it.

Does this mean you are changing your anti-Ford stance as of late?

about 70,000 miles and my truck is not running completely smooth for what I put into it, the engine is a bit rattled, the 2 remaining cats are going out, rear diff is leaking, etc. I just recieved the gasket so I'll be replacing when I can find some RP synth for the rear diff. What weight do our diffs take?

I just did mine and filled it back up with Mobil 1 75-140W. Owner's manual says to use synthetic 75-140W.

Engine whines every time you step on the gas, rattles all over the place. Mechanically it runs fine, but the noises are driving me insane, taking it back in didn't help. Just gonna trade to an '09 soon as they are available so I can actually hear myself think again while I drive, just like my perfect zero-problems '98 F-150 from Day 1. Let's pray this model was just a test junker in between the '97 model and the '09 model.

2004 29k miles: has gone in for butyl pad recall and a leaking third brake light. Right now the widshield is leaking, but that is because when i had it replaced they didn't seal right. Other than that no other problems.

Dads 05 26k miles: had a cracked pad but that was it. Oh and a broken driveshaft. (Dont get stuck on rocks) Other than that no other problems.

Dads Previous 2001 F150: 125k+ mi the alternator just went out at 125k and the battery was replaced at 120k. Still being used as a work truck but now by employees. Though it is a little tired.

There are many more fords in the fleet of vehicles we have, but id be writing for a while.
