I have never gone through an automatic car wash with it, I've only done it by hand so it still looks brand new. This winter, I only plan on going through touchless auto washes to get the road salt off it when it's too cold to wash it myself.

I WILL NOT go through an auto wash with the cleaner things that rotate/slap against my truck. All that does is scratch the hell out of the paint with the dirt and crap that came off everyone else's vehicle.
Being a small business owner and soon-to-be father, I don't wash my truck anymore. I just don't have time to commit 2-3 hours every other weekend or so to wash/dry my truck.

Over the last year or so, I've taken my truck through various brushless washes with "the cleaner things that rotate/slap against my truck," and have not had one iota of a scratch . . . not one!

I've always waxed my rides twice a year [mid-fall & early spring] and have had no problem.

My truck looks no different than the day I drove it off the lot .. .. .. beter actually.

To each their own.

those rotating mat slapper things do scratch your truck. not big gouges but more micro swirls. I figure I can live with it if I buff em out once a year

When I do wash it about an hour to an hour and a half hand washed, hand dried. I never clean the undercarriage, hardly wash it but once a month, and always have black front wheels and shiny backs Too many dirt roads and construction so there really isnt a point, but i do love it when i can clean her up!

I go to this handwash place where they scrub your truck with furry soft gloves and then they drive it through a power washer. Takes about 15 minutes and they armorall everything! Makes it look showroom new everytime!

If you go to Home Depot in there detergent isle look for some stuff made by a company called ZEP and get the "Citrus Cleaner & Degreaser concentrate", it's in a clear 1 gallon jug with a blue lable and the liquid is orange. it'll make the undercarriage look brand new .

Oh yeah, I can spend about 2-3 hours on just the undercarriage and fenderwells, about an hour on the outside and another hour on the inside .

I spend roughly 1 hour for a typical wash. 2-3 hours if detailing. Gets wiped down in-between washes. One word….****. Same goes for the Stang, but I spend more time on her (detailing the engine compartment) since she goes to various car shows/cruises during the season when she’s not racing.

Takes my girlfriend under 2 hours to wash/wax the entire truck. Add another half hour to forty five minutes if she is going to detail the inside of it.

With my pressure washer and 48 inch brush on a stick, takes about 1 hour to wash all 4 trucks. Add another hour to wax with a clear synthetic and to hit the tires and plastic.

A pressure washer with soap dispenser is probably the best gift any guy could buy himself. Not to mention, spray and forget synthetic wax is worth the money.

I used to be a detailer and I still am on the side so needles to say I'm very **** with my truck... Just today I took about 3.5 hrs on the outside with no polishing, just plain washing and drying. I need to take another 3-4 hrs on the interior and one coat of polish.

Well I was a detailer 6 years ago at a dealership so we always hauled *** to wash them and you know the whole nine yards in about 20 to 30 minutes. It takes me less than 15 to wash my 05 FX4 Screw and dry it down, now if I want my truck to look really sexy lol It takes me all day, with alot of breaks lol.
