small mishap

Good Morning guys,
long time since ive posted.
Moved to Phx in august, love it so far.

Last night i had a small mishap, accidentally had a white wood pool rub against the front end of the bumper.

There are no scratches, however there is maybe a 4 x4 inch area that has white paint on my bumper( i have a dsg truck)

any suggestions as to how to remove this paint and bring the luster back?

thanks guys

Lacquer thinner will remove the white without damaging the bumper paint.

I would start with a cleaner polish or a super fine rubbing compound. If that doesn't work move onto a thinner.

Also if you have a clay kit that might remove it too.

What were you doing driving your truck by a pool?

I have never heard of a wooden pool before so I searched and found this:

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

I had a similar problem when a parking gate came down on my hood. No dents, but a lot of yellow paint. Took it to the body shop at the dealer. He removed it with lacquer thinner and then use polishing compound to clean up the scuff marks. Took him all of 5 minutes.
Get as much of that white paint off before using any rubbing/polishing compound, otherwise you will be wearing down your paint all around where the paint is your trying to remove.
