They are good
I'm more impressed that you took the time to put the right combination of parts together, used a company that has the knowledge to do the job right, resulting in your ability to generate a large amount of power....MORE THAN JUST A FEW TIMES DOWN THE TRACK
Quality over the long term is what you have.

So it took longer than you were told it would take........but it is done right and they will stand behind their work with the same pride you have from the end result.

Glad to hear things are working out rafa. That's very impressive for 10-11psi of boost. We had to work our tails off to get around 450 and you guys are being conservative. Can't wait to see what your truck pulls once you get the torque converter issue delt with.

I'm happy to hear all parties are working on getting this out the door.

I gotta thank you too rafa, I took your word for the 4.56 gears and you were right. What a way to wake the truck up. We finally have dry pavement in town since the day I got them installed and I can feel a major difference. I did a couple launches from stop lights and got the tires spinning hard, nothing like smoking them up! I'm fairly certain I'm going to break something soon, this thing pulls like a beast and it's hard to stay off of it.

Can't wait to hear some track numbers, see some video clips and hear your thoughts about the truck once you get it back. My hats off to you for doing something outside the box.

Thanks man. BTW, did you fix your speedometer after the 4.56 install ?

Can't say about NJ tax, but in Texas, labor is taxed too.

In most states, labor that is related to the modification or installation of NEW parts is taxable. Labor to REPAIR old parts is non taxable.

This dyno pull was done completly cold, when the tranny fluid heats up and thins out the convertor shows its not cut out for the power, when driving the truck on the street with load on it it slips as well. It looks like the people Rafa got the tranny from are going to set him up with new tranny and a triple plate lock up convertor. The trans is fine but everyone is afraid of any clutch particals from the convertor circulating through the tranny. Jasper said the convertor he has is a SINGLE PLATE lock up. With a 6000lb truck and the power he is putting out on the lowest boost he will make a single plate is not at all what he needs.

Jim, what Jasper said ? Factory Tech will build a special 3 plate for the 4R75W or they already build a 3 plate for the 4R75W ?

You know Im not sure if its special for Raf or something they carry, we dont deal with Jasper a whole lot. We are normally dealing with the 4R100s and we use BTS with a PI convertor for the L's. We did use a 4R75w in our 03 cobra that made 1000 ft/lbs on spray and went 10.0@138. That was a complete bone stock tranny from Ford with just a PI convertor (2800 triple plate) and it kicked A$$. The thing here is Rafa's truck is so heavy, that load makes all the difference.

We just got a Saleen S331 truck which is equally as heavy as Rafas truck, we got a PI convertor built for him and since Jasper is taking care of him we are going to use it in our truck. Im sure it will Kick A$$ too!
