1 new key costs $125!?!?!
I had two keys at delivery but lost a set. I don't remember the seller's name but I bought a blank key and a fob from the same guy on ebay for about $30 total. I then paid the dealership about $40 to program it.
$70 sucks but it's better than $125.

I went to the dealership to have one made and found out that the key costs $35 and to program it costs $90! WHAT THE HELL!?!?
Are there any other cost friendly alternative besides spending that kind of cash on a freekin' key?

Its actually a good thing. If you are the owner of the vehicle with 2 copies of the key then having a third, fourth, fifth, etc... key made is no problem. This prevents people from renting trucks, having keys made, and then returning to the rental car place after hours and driving off with new cars and trucks. It happens believe me.

If you only have 1 programmed key then you will incur the cost of having a FORD dealership/service center program a spare key for you. This is a costly option that may run as high as $150.00.

I have never bought a vehicle myself, my parents bought me my truck for graduation but I agree with GordoPanocho.
I find it hard to believe if getting a 2nd or 3rd key sealed the deal the dealer wouldnt' jump on it....
