Hi.

Just an FYI -

> not all lean conditions throw codes

> Some 2004 & 2005's run too lean from the factory

> Edge cannot correct for MAF-related lean conditions

> Volant chokes at high rpm's (above 4,000 rpm)

> AF1 has been tested to provide the most gains

> custom tuning with datalogging is the only way to make certain the intake is not causing issues - everything else is just guessing. Period.

ALL of the above was distilled from previously posted material. Just reporting what's been discussed in detail already. You may want to Search to find out more - you choice.

I have the volant and edge......unless I can get that "Drone" reduced, I would NOT recommend that intake. I've sent the tech support an email hoping they will eventually respond, but until then.....I can't recommend it.

These are the reasons i personally am keeping my stock intake on my truck, I have also read that the intake alone does not provide any noticable increase in power.

I think you guys are going overboard on this lean issue........Bad fuel can make you run lean. I have read were Mike has said that our engines can run up to 15% either way of the octane grade. The Edge tune or factory tune or Mikes Xcal II tune can run lean (no datalog) within the 15% and still be ok. If you want the maximum performance then get a custom tune and datalog to get rid of any small amount of a lean condition.
