Intake??????? Help Me
Intake??????? Help Me
I know this topic is prob beaten to death but whats the best intake for the 5.4s. I need something reliable that wont throw any lean codes. Any help would be appreciated Thanks
Hi.
Just an FYI -
> not all lean conditions throw codes
> Some 2004 & 2005's run too lean from the factory
> Edge cannot correct for MAF-related lean conditions
> Volant chokes at high rpm's (above 4,000 rpm)
> AF1 has been tested to provide the most gains
> custom tuning with datalogging is the only way to make certain the intake is not causing issues - everything else is just guessing. Period.

I have the volant and edge......unless I can get that "Drone" reduced, I would NOT recommend that intake. I've sent the tech support an email hoping they will eventually respond, but until then.....I can't recommend it.
