here's a thread about it. I have read some places on the net that it has a v6 with twin hair dryers.....
I cant find solid specs about the engine.. but obvisually.. it has a twin turbo setup.

Here is another site: http://www.robidaconcepts.com/page/page/1916737.htm
That's a V-8, 5.4L DOHC.

Either way.. I would imagine he can/could/already runs 9's with that truck.

Still, having a new body style f150 running 9's would be sweet.. I hope you follow through with it!

Some of you are throwing around "9s" like its not a big deal...to get a car into the 9s in the quarter mile is not a small task....to get a full size truck into the 9s is much much harder (weight, aerodynamics and traction limitations come to mind right off the bat). So to say do this and do that you will be in the 9s is crazy.....you can be puching 2000HP and without some major suspension and traction mods you wont see 9s. I am not saying it cant be done by any means....money can make things go very fast, but its going to take alot more than most people on here are thinking for a new bodystyle all metal bodied, stocked framed F150 to ever see 9s.

And BTW the difference between a 9 and a 10 is HUGE....incredibly huge.

Whoa.. hold the train here...

When I said something about runnin 9's, I was referring to the Green truck, the "Frightning".. I understand the incredible feat of getting one of these trucks into the 9's.

The "frightning" has a 5.4 twin turbo making 1000HP, complete tube frame... getted interior and bed. Aluminum sheetmetal fenders up front.

Do I believe that truck could hit 9's.. Yes!

No need to quote me to look ignorant.... I'll even rephrase my previous post.

"Still, having a new body style f150 running 9's would be sweet.. I hope you CAN follow through with it!"

David London in a 2000 Lightning, with completly stock suspenion went 9.92/136.40 MPH over the summer. Race weight with driver: 4,436 lbs.
Of course he has traction bars and slicks. Shootin a 150 shot of juice and a built 335ci engine helped him get there.

So Rafa26 saying he is gonna go with a blown, built 5.4 spraying... and cut down for weight and reach 9's is not that far fetched.

My truck full weight, with me in it is around 5200LBS.
Lose the passengers side seat, steel bumpers, tail gate, spare, and gut the bed and interior.... You'd be gettin close to 4,500Lbs

Mike Redden's truck:
4640 lbs with driver. 2.3 whipple and a 75 shot got him a 10.41 in summer heat too.

Shootin for 9's isn't that far fetched.

yeah 9s shouldnt be too hard with the work ive seen on his LT

deffinatly needs a 4 link with some big slicks, and gut everything that isnt needed
