What is this?
perhaps all regular cabs have the seat sensor AND the deactivation switch
my theory is, its there to deactivate the system when you have a child or something similar sitting there.
on the Scab and the Screw your supposed to make your children and anorexic girlfriends sit in the back seat
My Scab has the metal hooks in the back seat for baby carriers.
just my theory

Not unless it's a new standard option.
I have an '05 XLT regular cab that has cup holders and an ashtray but no deactivation switch.
That's what that weight deactivation switch is there for. If it senses weight from just over 0 up to I believe 50 pounds, it turns the airbag off on the passenger side.
All I have to do is place my little girl's car seat on the seat and it turns off even before I strap it in. Ideally it needs to be strapped in the center but it's kind of tough to drive like that.
