Who has installed the remote start from Travis?
Ordered CA530 from him with pre wire, and everything is sweet.
I ran into some issues, it was last Sunday late afternoon that he was willing to help me out UNTIL thing is work out!! its great customer service!!!
Turned out that short ground wire by Unit (brain) that needed to ground that he forget.
My suggest, read instruction 3/4 times and do follow the colors wires first before cut or whatever you do with wires..
I caught one mistake by him in incutruction about not correct colors and i called him (AOL IM) and corrected the wires...
Overall I will do it again with his business!

quick question:
when you installed your alarms, did you install the included LED for the alarm or use the OEM LED that is on the dash of the truck? i was thinking of trying to figure out how to tie the alarm into the OEM LED for a clean look with no drilling into the dash.

If you get the outboard shock sensor and override the internal...you should be good to go!!!! If...that is your problem.

When I arm the alarm it RARELY does the two quick honks..often the second one is delayed 30~ seconds, or never occurs. VERY annoying as I am not sure if it is armed properly.
Secondly, I cannot use my touchpad because it won't arm or disarm properly, and it doesn't lock the doors when "armed" from the keypad.
And the last issue is that even with a WIDE gap in the programming, I still get random honking/false warnings for no reason for time to time. It's not even close to being too sensitive either. I guess that isn't a huge issue though.
I also purchased the CA670 and the instructions look awesome. My only question for those of you that have installed this system, where and with what (zip ties, screws....?) did you mount the brain of the unit. I know the instructions state to mount it to the left of the horseshoe looking bracket but I seem to be having a difficult time in that location. Also where did you mount the disconnect and programming button? Thank you in advance for your time.

Thank you for the response. I ended up putting the brain of the unit to the right side of the horseshoe bracket, it seemed to fit better there. I will be wiring it all up tonight when I get home. I really could have used it this morning due to the 25 degree temp this morning, the frost was probably a good 1/8" thick on the windshield.
And to think it's not even November yet.

I have the delayed arming also but it has to do with the dome light staying on after I shut the door, once the dome light goes out the sytem arms. This seems to be the only issue I have with mine and my wifes trucks. We have the ca-670 with the external shock sensor

Travis will answer any questions you want to know. He'll take the time to discuss what's best for you and your budget. Give him a try!

I installed the CA 670 last week and I have the same issue with the warning beeps/honks going off for no reason. I ordered the remote shock sensor from him so I should get that on next week. But I cant figure out how to program the bypass module for the remote start. I got the XK04 bypass from Travis but I cant get the dang thing to program. Has anyone else been able to program the XK04? I just got the generic instructions that come from the manufacturer with the bypass kit. I got it all wired up (it's only a few wires) and have triple checked to make sure it's correct. Any help out there?
