I did the deed today, and a 7/32 socket was a perfect fit under steering wheel. I knew it could be done with SAE if it's a metric half size.

I called Travis twice today. First call was because he had clipped a wire that I needed (PURPLE for the door lock) by mistake (he apologized profusely), and I just wanted to be sure I wasn't missing something. The second call was because I missed the part where you are supposed to plug in the PATS module to the alarm "brain" before mounting it, and it wasn't mentioned later in the directions. I'll clear that up tommorrow since it was dark after I left him a message. Overall, he's got the directions pretty well tuned. I got through the programming without help in three tries, and she fired right up. The neighbors didn't even complain about all the honking (those that have done this know what I mean). The whole deal lasted about 7 hours not counting lunch. I didn't have suitable wire strippers (I dunno where they went!), so I stripped every wire with a razor knife. That cost me lots of time.

Is Travis service worth $128 though? I want to get the CA-670 alarm and ebay has them for 130 shipped, brand new, although no pre-wire. Travis has them for $258.19 shipped with prewire.

Seems like it would be because the instructions...... wonder what this goes for, installed at a local shop?

My local shop charges $450 for the ca670 plus $50 for the bypass. With Travis you receive a unit that has been prepped for you truck. There are A LOT of un-needed wires that he takes care of. His instructions are direct telling you what wire you need, where it is, what it will do with a test light. If you need help he's available via phone, email, aol messenger and yahoo messenger instantly. Keep in mind he is a 16 year veteran of the 12 volt industry and has been a lead installer for the Ford Accessory Division in Kansas City for 4 years I think.

Last weekend I stayed in Kansas City and got to meet the man himself. My buddy an I stayed there and hooked up with Travis to go to the USACi stereo competition and car show. It was awesome. He took us to meet some of the big names in car audio and showed us some of the newest products. Got us a chance to sit in some of the demo cars that we would have never been to touch. My entire truck is DB Drive from Travis and took us to meet Team DB Drive and to sit in and demo the 4 show cars they trailered in.

After the show he got us VIP passes to the after party. Holy Sh#t it was awesome. Drinks were on him and then they broke out the wet tshirt contest. Almost turned into a **** show right in front of us. It was awesome. We ended the night with a visit to the IHOP.

At 9am he gave me a call and my buddy and I left the hotel went to his house to have him work on my friends 05 F150 STX. He installed power windows, power locks and a Code Alarm CA-680 with Car-Link. Totally blew my mind. Locks and windows with switches took him about 2.5 hours and work just as good if not quicker than my factory. The CA680 was just over an hour. all said and done if you take out the chatting I took him about 4 hours for the work. Hell it takes me that long for just an alarm.

I know I seem to be "on hits nutz" lol. But he's just a great guy to do business with. I myself, friends and family have done quite a chunk of business with him and it all started by a search on the internet. Can't imagine buying something in a store again. He's not just car audio. I was suprised at the mass of products that are available to him be it home audio, theater, computer parts, the list goes on. We left his house with a bag full of information and a couple of DB Drive ball caps as well.

DDog, I'll admit it does seem you are "on his nutz" but its all good. You got great service, a great product, and looks like a friend. Thats a good reason if you ask me to be "on his nuts".

I sent them a "contact us" email and once I hear from them, I will probably go ahead and order the CA670.

Thanks for the response DDog.... its appreciated.
