I'll search ebay probably before "breeching" my warranty for this small of a deal.

What do you mean "breeching" your warranty? You don't have a limited amount of times you can take it in under the warranty. I say if you like the look of the black, go in and get it fixed. Especially while it is free.

This might be a stupid idea.. but might try removing all the black and painting the "F150" and "Triton" white to match your truck.... It would be different and might look cool.

Im wondering if it has to do with weather conditions or how you clean them. .

Find a new dealer ASAP!

No, they are covered under warranty up to 36,000 miles. The only things that are supposed to only be covered up to 10,000 miles would be wear items.

so if my serpentine belt snapped at 10,500 miles they wouldnt replace it? not being sarcastic just curious..

and my side emblems peeled at under 5,000 miles dealer replaced them no questions asked..

trucks at 33,000 miles and i've been "gentle" with the new ones. i never get the presure washer near the emblems and i dont put any wax or chemicals on em..

Cheers!

I can't answer that. Im not quite sure, maybe Quintin can chime in and answer that for you.

I wax my emblems just like my paint and even use my pressure washer on them without any problems.

well perhaps i could wax and pressure wash my emblems and they'd be fine but im going on the " i've been burned before" fear..

i just dont like wasting my time at the dealership if i can help it. although with the crap my trucks starting to do i think its becoming inevitable

Cheers!

Wear items and "adjustments" (like tire balancing and wheel alignments) are covered for 12/12. If your serpentine belt just snapped out of the blue, I would think they'd replace it, whether it had 100 miles or 35,999 miles.

My dealer replaced mine at 12K because it squealed at hight rpm shifts. They just replaced my steering wheel because it was sticky too. I think it depends on the service adviser/dealer.

The V-10 emblem was peeling on my F250 and the dealer just ordered a couple new emblems and give them to me.

Yes, mine is an FX4. The badges say F-150 on top with 5.4 Triton below.
