Side Emblem peeling?

Has anyone else experienced the black fill paint of the side emblems peeling?

I currently have one that reads "- 1.' -" instead of "F-150", and "T I N" instead of "TRITON".... passenger's side, so it bugs my wife more...

Would this be a dealer fix? Or should I save the warranty and buy a new one on ebay?

mine peeled a little when i sprayed it dirrectly with the garden hose on high pressure....

Sounds to me like a project of acetoning the badges. Half the work is already done for you. I might do that this weekend....

2500 PSI @ point blank , brings it right off. I accidentally took an F and a 5 off one day so I chromed the rest of the badges to make it all match. I'm going to match them to the truck eventually....

Yeah.... I kinda like the original look on the emblem though....

I'll search ebay probably before "breeching" my warranty for this small of a deal.

IROC it: I've got the emblems you're looking for. I replaced mine with a custom set, so if you'd like them send me an e-mail or PM and I'm sure we can work something out.

Mine did the same thing (pealed off) and I replaced it with a Lincoln LT badge as I have switched the grill and tailgate out for the same.

My badges are starting to do the same thing.

Anyone have a link to the thread that shows how to acetone them for that chrome look?

Are they the ones that say F-150 with XLT TRITON? Yours looks like an FX4...
