Official 07 Saleen S331 Order Forms (44K + 54K MSRP Base prices) + options list

Today I went to my local Saleen dealer to find out all the options that I could order for the Saleen S331. He gave me two printouts that show all the options available for both Saleen S331 versions. The first link contains the order form for the supercharged version of the Saleen S331. It has a base price MSRP price of $53,999. The second link has the order form for the non-supercharged version of the Saleen S331, which has a base MSRP price of $43,999. Check out some of the options that you can get for the S331. $20K for an “extreme rainbow paint” job? I bet that one will be a very popular option to get.

i think the entire thing is overpriced by FAR, you could get that truck...without the options for what? 30? if not a little less or more give or take.

24K is not all on that truck.

i wanna know what the extreme rainbow paint that costs 20K looks like thjough...

I figured they would be severely overpriced, and that is about the ballpark that I figured they would ask. $54K for a supercharged, custom sport truck isn't too bad, I'm sure they will sell.

Are there any HP, 0-60 and 1/4 mile numbers for the saleen yet?

I would agree that it is much cheaper to build your own. I'm around the price of the non-supercharged version and I've got more factory options (4X4, supercrew, FX4 package, etc.), as well as aftermarket options, and I'm pretty confident I've got more power than the 54K version as well. I'd like my truck to have some more customization, but it's not going to happen now that I'm back in Alaska because of the lack of places to do that kind of stuff here. I think my next toy will be a mustang.

I'm not sure when or if I'll be able to get the 1/4 mile and 0-60 times. There might be some drag races next summer a few hundred miles south of here that I'll go to if I can, but I've checked around in Fairbanks and there isn't squat for racing except dirt track stuff.

I promise that when and if I get them I'll post 'em right away.

After searching around, this is how an “extreme rainbow” factory paint job looks on a Saleen Mustang.

Ford did similiar paint on the SVT Cobras in the mid 90's it was called Mystichrome or also referred to as just Mystic. A kid I work with has one. It's at least close to if not the same...dont think it was a $20,000 option. Something tells me (if it isnt obvious) that these arent being marketed to guys who work 40 hrs a week...and I dont mean on Wall St. Nice truck but can think of a few things (cars) i'd rather spent $54 grand on. To each his own I guess.

what price did you expect? I think that is a pretty fair price at least for a brand new first year truck. i wouldnt want it to be a 20-30K truck becase then everyone would buy them and they wouldn't hold up the saleen name. If I see one on the road now I will be like wow there is a nice 50K truck
and that paint job is frickin sick!

This plays off of KiCk *** FX4's post, I should of added before.

I am disappointed in Saleen for the reason KiCk mentioned, you don't want too many of these running the streets. Saleen shouldn't of offered a non-supercharged model. Do they do this with the mustang? If so, they should stop that too.

Do you see any Dodge Vipers with the V-8 Hemi option? How about a toned down corvette to make it more affordable? I think by them doing this and offering a mostly stock performance (wohoo, 25 extra horsepower over stock) truck with the same look, logo's and name will really do this truck an injustice. Granted it's not the fastest '04+ F-150 out there, mine is , but the non supercharged models will sell alot more and they will be the laughing stock on the street when they get dusted by every stock and modded titan, ram and chevy out there.

I hate this "it looks fast but it isn't" craze that is going on with NEW vehicles these days. I nearly had to bitch slap a salesman at the Ford dealership a few weeks ago for talking up a V-6 mustang that had a "race" package on it which included some window vents and a few other bolt ons.

/end rant.

My local Saleen dealer said they should been getting a supercharged S331 very soon. I told them to give me a call so I could go check it out and test drive it.

Kick ***...dont get me wrong, thats some REAL nice stuff no doubt. I am by no means suprised by the pricing and yes pricing lends itself to exclusivity (as it should) i'm just thinking of the things I could do to mine with the extra $20,000. I'm not a body kit or fancy paint guy. That being said I would love to have a supercharger and bigger brakes but with 6" of lift, 35's and 4.56's. I hope the ones that are sold go to guys on here or anywhere else where they're appreciated. The nicest thing I own is a CoPo Chevelle that my dad bought new. Its mint green with dog dish hubcabs and goes like a raped ape...a true sleeper.

I figured that's what the "extreme" paint looked like. It canges colors from different perspectives. They have it on that GTO in the movie "XXX State of the Union" (not a fan of the movie, just the car). It's pretty sweet, but I heard it was something like $2,000 a gallon I think I'll stick with my factory Aspen Green.
