This looks like the COLORCHROME paint you find on NASCAR and diecast cars from Action Performance.

The paint job kicksass, but I'd rather see a female driving it. I agree with RoushMarkLT...lame idea to put out a non charged version. Didn't someone come on here a few months ago about to trade their Roush Stage 1 package in because it wasnt' as quick as he thought. You gotta laugh at the moves they make sometimes. And that Rockford Fosgate system might be a neat upgrade to our inferior F-150's. The Titan's fosgate system is not even what our Audiophile's is so we'll have to see.

I am disappointed in Saleen for the reason KiCk mentioned, you don't want too many of these running the streets. Saleen shouldn't of offered a non-supercharged model. Do they do this with the mustang? If so, they should stop that too.

Do you see any Dodge Vipers with the V-8 Hemi option? How about a toned down corvette to make it more affordable? I think by them doing this and offering a mostly stock performance (wohoo, 25 extra horsepower over stock) truck with the same look, logo's and name will really do this truck an injustice. Granted it's not the fastest '04+ F-150 out there, mine is , but the non supercharged models will sell alot more and they will be the laughing stock on the street when they get dusted by every stock and modded titan, ram and chevy out there.

I hate this "it looks fast but it isn't" craze that is going on with NEW vehicles these days. I nearly had to bitch slap a salesman at the Ford dealership a few weeks ago for talking up a V-6 mustang that had a "race" package on it which included some window vents and a few other bolt ons.

/end rant.
100% agree

I'm not a body kit or fancy paint guy. That being said I would love to have a supercharger and bigger brakes but with 6" of lift, 35's and 4.56's. I hope the ones that are sold go to guys on here or anywhere else where they're appreciated. The nicest thing I own is a CoPo Chevelle that my dad bought new. Its mint green with dog dish hubcabs and goes like a raped ape...a true sleeper.
Yea I agree. I would rather spend that extra money on a custom truck that I put together rather than some high markup truck. Whether I supercharge it of put a lift on i would still enjoy it more and it would be cheaper. Some people will see people who have these saleen trucks as "posers" to some extent because all they have is money so they go out and buy what looks cool. i would rather put my money into a truck like mine that is more custom and unique and that I actually put my interests and personality into the truck. Dont get me wrong that saleen is freekin sick

Just so I know...did the size of that picture up top change the size of the page for just me or everyone else? I'm scrolling side to side just to read these posts.

The official name for that paint color was 'MYSTIC' and, YES, it was a factory color. They're pretty hard to find these days because they were limited even within the Cobra's limited production.

Also, with the Saleen finally rolling towards dealerships, does this mean that the HID headlight systems are going to be available?!?

I’m going to give my local Saleen dealer a call tomorrow to find out when the HID headlight systems will be available to order as a part.

IMHO, Saleens are way overpriced. Sticker for their S/C mustang is more than the Shelby GT500! My truck is getting the same if not more hp than the Saleen s/c truck and I don't even have headers or replaced the stock exhuast yet. And I have 4x4 and 4 doors.

what would you like to see the price at? 30K? So I could have gotten a Saleen instead on my truck?

Dude, I'm agreeing with you! When I'm done, my Lariat, that I paid $32k for, and dropped another $8k in mods, will blow the new Saleen F150 off the street and still be able to cover terrain that it won't.

If its the same paint im thinking about, is because it is made out of US money ink.

Lets say you get a fender bender in that truck, and need it repainted. When you order the paint, a representive of the Goverment brings the paint to the painter. Watches the paint like a hawk, when the painter is done, whatever is left over the goverment official takes back with him...

Thats why it cost so much.

I had one of the Mystic Cobras, there was no price difference which was nice. They said it was the same paint used for the shiny 100 symbol on 100 dollar bills at the time. Siad the paint had to underlock and key at all times so counterfeiters would steal it.
