My nearest Saleen dealership can't tell me over the phone what they'll cost -- so they say. They're going to try to call Saleen Monday and see what they can come up with -- they claim they don't have a part list yet.

I talked to my local Saleen dealer today and also with Ned from the main Saleen Office, and both told me that the Saleen S331 HID headlight system should be available in mid to late October when they become available for sale to the public.

Thanks bud. I was hearing the middle of Oct from my local Saleen dealership... hearing it from Saleen is even better info.

Any indication on pricing?

Ned couldn’t confirm what the price will be for the S331 HID headlight system, but chances are that they will be the same price as the Saleen HID headlight system ($899).

I was just checking out the Saleen S331 page this morning and saw that they updated the front page.

http://www.saleen.com/s331.htm

The updated page now shows the Saleen S331 supercharged version with 550 bhp and 480 lb-ft! I think someone made a typo. Lol. Wouldn’t that be something though? 550 bhp and 480 lb-ft stock? If Saleen included an AWD option with 550 bhp and 480 lb-ft, I think $54 K would be a bargain price for the Saleen S331 considering that the all new 2007 GMC AWD Sierra Denali 400 bhp/417 lb-ft will be listed close to the $50K MSRP mark when it comes out early next year.

Whatever it is, that interior is bitchin. Notice the dash mounted gauges.

I never got an 'official' word from my Saleen stealership but, I did find out through a friend at a dealership that they are saying November for S331 parts... thanks Anthony.

Patience is a virtue.

Honestly, looking at the specs, I think the Saleen exhaust might be the main reason for those extra 25HP.

Exhaust, pullies, tune which requires 91 oct.

-Same thing they do on the mustang.. The S281 has 330HP instead of the Stock 300HP is the GT
