I'll Take some pictures of the gap and post them later tonight when I get home. On the performace question - I didn't really notice any but thats not to say there wasn't any. I didn't buy the air box from RamAir, I have a K&N FIPK set up that I removed the heatshield from and a buddy is making a sort of fabricated directional shoot that we can bolt up where the heat shield was that should direct a good quantity of the air from the hood directly at the filter.

My truck runs pretty well and seems to have good power... I only ran it stock for about a week before adding in the Edge Chip, filter, exhaust and such so I really don't remember what "stock" was like. Just got my TP E-Fans in yesterday and hope to get them in this week....
