The inserts are held in with 2 blsck philips screws each. It cost me just under $350 for pre fit, paint and install. I did not want to risk shipping a painted hood. It is more likely something could happen to the paint during shipping. I also figured the body shop could match the paint better if they had the truck right there and they matched it perfectly.

Rocky85:
Yes you have to request them.

Blackntan:
Yes it is Dark stone

Now you need some new wheels and tires (and maybe a lift kit) to really set off the aggressive appearance of the new hood. Looks great!

Man that looks awesome It's quite a head turner, and it makes the truck look so more agressive. Great choice

They do, this one is functonal. However they do not sell an intake and filter kit for the 4.6 just the 5.4.

I don't have any pictures; however, if you go to ramairhood.com they have a photo gallery. It's just flat horizontal slats in black. I originally had it installed with the Harley grille and it looked fine.

Ram Air

I also will be purchasing the functional hood for my 06. I believe I may have them paint it as There are not many reputable body shops in the area. Also not looking forward to the bill but it looks good. Anyone know of anywhere else to get one?

I will be going with a Ram air hood next spring when I start modding my truck. My wife is the one that actually likes it and told me that that is definietly one of the mods that I have to get done.

Looks great on your truck, just need to get some new tires and wheels to really set it off.
