well i was coming back from a car show and we was messin with each other, she in her zx2 and me in my truck. from a roll of 40 she killed me. i mean i never really got on it much, never took it over 4k rpm but still.... lol

but we got to a redlight and i definantly took her off the line big time. that made me feel a lil better about myself. lol but i know now what my next mod is. edge and an exhaust and work on performance. cause my pride got hurt a lil. lol

im gonna take her back on the 4 lane and hammer down on the truck for once in its life, i never have taken it above 4200rpm, dad when he was alive got on it with me in the passenger side and did over 5000rpm and i thought the front end came off the ground lol.

But the truck isnt all that bad i dont guess, it weighs probably 2 of her cars. so that makes p the difference. the edge is lookin good for me

 

The zx2 is a really light car, and if I am not mistaken it has the same 2.0 as the Focus. It's actually a pretty quick little car.

My new 5 speed stripper focus is not much slower than my modded F150.

My sister had an 01 Zx2 and I raced her with my 2001 4.6 f150. I beat her. I remember driving her car and I hated b/c it had no pickup when cruising. What year is your GF's? No way that 01' could take my 04 especially with Edge. The Edge, honestly really really woke my truck up.

 

Grand am GT are dam quick for stock.. at least late models Gt's are. I had an 00 Grand Am Gt and I got up and went.. I was surprised at how quick it was..

 

Im confused, you've never had your truck at full throttle? And for anyone that thinks econo cars like stock zx2s, civics, etc are fast or quick, then ya'll have been depraved of a ride in a real car. And Im not talking about a stock mustang GT either, Im talking a 11 or 12 sec street ride. Ive had my truck to 5000rpms plenty of times, and the wheels never felt like they were going to leave the ground. Maybe I need skinnies like on my Tbird??


Maybe its me guys, but I dont see the point to dump a thousands of dollars into my truck to turn around and run 14s or 15s, it just doesnt make economical sense. It would be like putting a suspension on my car to tow, why wouldnt I just buy a truck??

 

ive been in plenty of fast cars. 500 hp 350z, 700 hp supra, 700hp lightning, 600hp chevy 2500hd.

X 2 I have two 11 second street cars and surprisingly my stock 06F150 feels pretty fast (on the butt dyno) for a truck. However I would be ashamed to see what it would actually run in the 1/8 or 1/4 mile.I may get an intake,exhaust and edge evo for my truck just to make it go and sound a little better.It would cost a fortune to make it really fast and I kind of like my truck not being too fast anyway,it keeps me out of trouble.
I think I'll go for a cruise in the GN,maybe I can get in trouble.
