IMO,I raise the BS flag on what you claim to know really being what you think you know which in reality is .....

So you are saying STS only has an idea and cant obtain their own F150 for the prototype and needs owners to donate their 04-07 F150's to develop a kit?

If this person is going to be the first, who you know, and you said STS is looking for F150's(more than 1) how come you are not going to be one of the more than 1) F150's used?

If this is true and everything is only $1000, why not buy it even if you could not us it for another 1000 miles 3/36000 or even buy it and sell it for 2x as much?

Why go through having to spend $1000 since you know STS is looking for trucks

Let me help you out..Time to Manup. Let me help you out..Time to Manup.
You claim to have a buddy in the turbo biz who will sell you everything needed to build a complete twin turbo kit for $1000.

Call him and tell him you want 2... I will pay the $2000 Plus

I WILL GIVE YOU ONE FREE I WILL GIVE YOU ONE FREE

So for the time it takes to make a phone call and document the details needed to complete the transaction, you get the following;

a complete twin turbo system free of charge as my way of saying, I was wrong

Man or still a little boy?

ok ill see what i can do, btw ask robby(alomar on ftw) about his friend adam that is who gave me that price and robby was sitting right next to me when he said it as well as lee(leester) andrew(jahwarrior) and luis(stwlouie) this was an estimated price so i hope that is what he can actually get it for if so youll be getting an email from me

Holy crap I have not posted here in a while. Ok, to get my 2 cents in here. Yes, my buddy is the one who quoted an "estimated" 1k for the setup. He is setting up his own aftermarket business, and knows quite a few people locally that run dynos and build nicely built cars. Like a 700 RWHP mustang, dang thing was loud on the dyno. Drew, nice to see you have the same attitude here as on ftw. I can get you in contact with my buddy and im sure when money talks and you ACTUALLY give him the money it would happen.

Just like I thought.....

You spit out a statement and have nothing to back it up with and twist it so it sounds like you have facts. Why? Who do you think you are impressing?

1. You said you have a buddy but now its alomars friend who you what just meet?
2. Now its an estimated price that you hope(meaning you don't know) if can be delivered
3. You truly have no clue what parts cost because a new twin turbo set up for anything would cost more than a $1000 in basic parts. Forget about this being able to run after installation What do you think tuning would cost? No clue but it can all be done for $1000 right......

Here is the bottom line

If you are unsure of what you claim to know, how is it a fact and not what you think or an opinion until determined otherwise?

End of issue for me

i wanna know how the threadstarters' turbo kit is coming along?

and i am definitely NOT a fan of sts turbo kits. there's a reason you see alot for sale. turbo's aren't supposed to be under the back bumper! i've read a non-biased review of an sts in a camareo from the passenger seat and it was not very impressing. he described what it was like from ~1500 and up in a couple gears. (was a few yrs ago)

Im in the middle of a Supra Project and its a lot more money and work than expected.

The initial parts may seem to fall in line with the price of a SC but dont forget that other things may beed replacement as well to support the turbo system.

Some of the things I didnt expect:

New fuel delivery system (ie. fuel rail + fuel pump) with higher flow injectors
Upgraded MAF
Electronics to support turbo system like the boost controller, F/S meter etc...
and some others I cant think of at the moment (after a few drinks)

Basically its costing me thousands more than expected.
I have good news for you if you are really thinking about taking this project ahead.
For up to 500rwhp you don't have to do anything with the fuel system and what's more amazing is that our fuel rails are bigger than the Lightning's ones and can handle crazy power.
