HIDPLANET,
When doesn't it always cost more?
And the only way to understand that is from actually experiencing it first hand. And if it is your own personal hard earned money, it becomes a lesson we never forget. In 1987 added HKS turbo to 1985 1/2 Supra. Budget was $2800 which was $300 over the total claimed cost. Final cost $4600 and something...

Talking

Remember STS sells a generic system so all these systems should work ...just need a tune unless you plan on going over 6 pounds of boost then you will need new injectors fuel pump and few other things I was considering getting this system... I have spoken to one guy with a yellow FX4 with this system and he was happy with the results and he had used the generic set up with 5 pounds of boost

Where is the snorkel mounted? I would like to mount it high under the hood if possible. The system looks very easy to install, would like to view a video to reaffirm this. This kit is something I am actually interested in, but am curious of the results. for 3000 you can get a vortech S/C if I recall correctly and 4000 a roush.

3. Hearing is the downfall of many of forums because often it is only part of the needed information. Since the Under $4k price you heard about does not include, installation, tuning, intercooler, bov, etc that makes the cheap price fine if you just want to look at it on a shelf. Plus it is not the application for our F150's
4.If turbocharging our trucks 04-06 F150's was that easy and cheap, there would be more than a handfull one the streets right now..
Plus all of the truck mags would have bigger than life cover stories announcing
and reviewing A New available Turbo F150 System
well sts is looking for 04-07 f150s to develop a kit for it i know someone who istalking to them and its looking like he may be getting the first one being that they will most likely build the kit off of his truck, try emailing them and asking if you can donate your truck for them to do some r&d

i too am thinking and researching about turboing my truck i have a buddy in the the turbo buisness and can get me everything i need to build a twin turbo kit for about $1000 this will most likely either never happen but if it does not untill my warrenty is up which isnt far away i have 35k miles

I played in HS, im class of 04. I think it would be cool to see you use the MIBTY thing. Funny too our section leader was dating a flute player so he had to do something to rub it in that its not easy carring that thing around.

Just 3 comments

1. I'm lost as to why you quoted me?
2. I believe you when you say you have 35k miles
3. No comment on everything you said between my quote and your 35k miles

There was a guy running around the forums for awhile who installed the STS on his f150. Ended up blowing his motor because of bad tuning. Could never get the tuning right on it.

No problem. Since it's what you say you know,it would be fact based and easily verified by STS. Email sent to STS.

IMO,I raise the BS flag on what you claim to know really being what you think you know which in reality is .....

well sts is looking for 04-07 f150s to develop a kit for
So you are saying STS only has an idea and cant obtain their own F150 for the prototype and needs owners to donate their 04-07 F150's to develop a kit?
I know someone who is talking to them and its looking like he may be getting the first one being that they will most likely build the kit off of his truck
If this person is going to be the first, who you know, and you said STS is looking for F150's(more than 1) how come you are not going to be one of the more than 1) F150's used?
i have a buddy in the the turbo buisness and can get me everything i need to build a twin turbo kit for about $1000
If this is true and everything is only $1000, why not buy it even if you could not us it for another 1000 miles 3/36000 or even buy it and sell it for 2x as much?

Why go through having to spend $1000 since you know STS is looking for trucks

Let me help you out..Time to Manup. Let me help you out..Time to Manup.
You claim to have a buddy in the turbo biz who will sell you everything needed to build a complete twin turbo kit for $1000.

Call him and tell him you want 2... I will pay the $2000 Plus

I WILL GIVE YOU ONE FREE I WILL GIVE YOU ONE FREE

So for the time it takes to make a phone call and document the details needed to complete the transaction, you get the following;

a complete twin turbo system free of charge as my way of saying, I was wrong

Man or still a little boy?

I read somewhere a long time ago.. This guy had a new F150 (04+) with a Prototype STS kit on it..

BLA Bla Bla

In the end, his engine met Mr. Detonation and blew right before he went off to Iraq... I thought it was on Ford Truck World, but I don't exactly remember... I do know that I read that story somewhere on the net a long time ago.. Seems like over a year.

Can't be true. If you look above, it is clearly stated as a fact that STS is looking for trucks to develop a kit which means there is no kit and no prototype.
