add-a-leaf install

Just wanted everyone to know the aal install was very easy. Instead of removing the tank and exghaust to pull springs completely out, all you have to do is take out the rear shackle bolt and spring will come down. Put c-clamp on the springs, bend down the clamps, take off the nuts and back off the c-clamp and the spring will fall apart. You can then re-stack the springs, clamp it then bolt it down. Took an hour and a half to install. I used the Pro-comp aal so I have to get new clamps, but other than that, very easy install.

Same here. I did the exact install last year which took two hours longer (with the beer and BSing session), but was very easy. It will look great.

Can you tell a big difference in the ride? How much higher does it sit? How much did it cost you? Good write up!

I have the AAL part. Makes the rear ride stiffer.

I went with the Pro Comp 2" leaf, it still has a pretty soft ride due to the leaf being real long. I think the pair was $80 shipped. I also have the Superlift's, they are much shorter and would have been a real stiff ride, so I put in the Pro Comps. It sits pretty level now. I wish I would have went with 37's now.

how are your cv angles? i would think would the 6" pro-comp and the 2.5 daystar i'd be pretty steep? do you have any pictures of that? the truck looks good though

edit: where did you order it from and about how long was the install?

good luck on finding the original clamps to put back on your truck. I had to have an after-marker one put on for me after Monkey-1 and I did mine.

I tried to get some but Ford does not sell those by themselves.

Other than that, good job and the truck looks great brother!!

Nice job....have one on me .
