Thumbs down Very dissappointed in the EDGE programmer....

I have had my EDGE programmer since April of this year. When I bought it I thought it was awesome, I remembersaying " my truck has been reborn!" It would almost get a second gear scratch, very firm shifts, and it had unbelievable power using level 3. That was then and this is now..... I did a software update and the evolution update on 8/9/06. My truck now has very little power over stock and the shifting is almost smooth. I called EDGE products technical support and told them how unsattisfied I was with this now and he just said " So you are calling to tell me you hate it? ", very poor support! I was so mad I hung up when he offered no other response or help. I called back the next day and they told me to go to the version 20 and try that, no difference at all. I have a 2004 supercab FX4 with a 5.4, also an Airforce 1 air intake and Magnaflow dual exhaust. If anyone can help me with solutions or suggestions to getting back my power the way it was before I Ebay the programmer, I would greatly appreciate it. THANKS!

Can you just go back to the version that you were happy with. I have not up dated mine because there has been no reason to.

How much do you want for it?

I'll take it, if the price is right.

you do realize you can reload whatever programming you want . . .

and you do realize they are technical support, not moral counseling . .

I like how the "new" people (3 posts) come in here and start complaining.

As for your particular issue with the edge, follow the instructions in the owners manual and you'll be just fine. I stayed in a Holiday Inn express last night.

Try rolling back to the previous version you was running and see if your performance comes back. If that don't help guess its off to ebay for your edge.

socal I am going to be getting my edge on monday, how do you go about picking what downloads you want, is there a menu to choose from or does it just give you the latest update. I want to see my truck come alive.

fordsoldier,

https://local.edgeproducts.com/edge/..._download.html

you can download the evolution "lightning" software here. the software is oddly enough called lightning, im sure its confused enough f150 owners.

it lets you choose whatever updates you choose to apply. i really doubt any version is going to slow your truck down significantly. if and in case that happens, just roll back the software on the menu, but IMO this is an illegitimate fear.

It does! I've been runnin level 3 custom program on my truck for a while. I updated it about 2 weeks ago when I took the truck to the dealership for maintaince and had to return it to the stock program. I reloaded the level 3 custom program and it runs even better than before! Good luck with yours!

I was running level 3 as soon as I got my edge and could put 93 octane in it. I just changed it too level 2 and running 93 octane on that tune (timimng move up for octane change). i have to say thats a pretty good way to run. I going to run this way for a while to see how it dose.

Also what shift pressure do you guys run level 2 or 3? That is if you change it.
