Any 2006 FX-4 pictures, looking for advice on tires.
I need some ideas for some tires for my truck. I have a 2006 FX-4 Supercrew with 20" wheels. I have Pirelli 275/55/20 and I want to go with an offroad look. I really only planning on getting a leveling kit. I want to see some options or comments on tires sizes for this truck that won't cause rubbing and have more or an offroad look.
Thanks all

I actually want the leveling kit to make the stance better. The front rides low compared to the back. I just want to get more of a truck look out of this thing. I definitly want larger tores too. 285/55/20 is damn near what I have now.
I was in the same boat and ended up with the BFG KO's in a 325/60/20 and a AS 2" leveling kit and Rear AAL. I have slight rubbing at full turn due to the tire width. They rub on the upper A arm at full lock only, but it doesn't bother me. I could not be happier with the result.

Nebraska - Nice looking truck. I really like the stance you've built. I pick up my '06 FX4 150 WB on Thursday. Question, I am looking to install a AS 2" in the frt. Why did you add the AAL in the rear. Does the 2" spacer sit the truck to high in the frt.?
Thanks
Tom
Thanks

Highboy,
Thanks!!
I added the rear AAL because I haul a quad in the bed and don't like the nose up stance. After the 2" AS leveling kit and rear AAL (Skyjacker) I have 1.25 differance from front to back (rear higher). Originally I had 2" difference front to back. I was amazed how much the tires changed the look. I have some pics of the before the leveling kit and rear AAL, with it and stock tires, and the current.

I'm consider two options, both on stock rims. I actually like the look of the stockers...BFG's 285/70/17 or 35x12.5x17. Sensibility tells me to get a smaller leveling kit for the stance and stick with the 285's (33's) AT's, but my evil twin brother is leaning towards the 2.5 AS and 35" BFG MT's
Thanks guys!!
Northerner,
Prior to the tires I was getting 16-16.5 mpg and after I am getting 15.5-16 mpg. I have not adjusted my speedometer yet because I am planning on getting the Edge sometime between now and christmas. I drive 80% highway and 20% in town if that helps. The only draw back to the BFG KO's in the 325/60/20 size is the price!!! I paid $405 a piece installed ($1620) and got $100 each ($400)for my stock tires for a total out the door price of around $1200.

Nebraska,
You are in the exact boat that I am in as far a mileage. I'm extremly new to owning a truck....1st one here. I'm really debating about which size to get, I love the look of your truck. great job!
Could I get away with just putting on the 2in leveling kit up front and not touching the back and make the 325/60/20's work?
Did you have to trim anything to minimize rubbing?
Do you think a 305/55/20 would still look good?
What is the Edge, I'm assuming a chip?
Sorry for the dumb questions....I'm a newbie!

Northerner,
Thanks!!
I have seen a few trucks with the leveling kit and not AAL, but the rear looks low to me. I would not have had to put the rear AAL on, but it was the look I was after. I think the 305/55/20's would look great!
I only had to trim alittle on the front valance and pulled the inner liner back (I was able to pull itback 3-4" with out a problem). The average person wouldn't be able to tell I did either one. The edge is a computer programer. It is one of the popular ones for our trucks. If you have any other questions let me know!!

Like 2.5'' leveled on front
Added 1'' leaf because the tonneau's weight was loewring it just a bit an because I like taller rear better.
