Custom Painted, THEY messed UP, need some help

So i had my truck custom painted about a month ago, whole thing, went with the highest quality best paint etc etc that I could and paid a good amount. Since it was painted I've been in chicago and my girl drove out and I got a look at it a week ago and I'm pissed, well I'm back in CO and going to go to battle tomorrow. They claim they'll fix everything but I need some help/ opinions from people who may know........

The lower valance on the front bumper and the fender trim I told them to paint.....Now I'm sure if they did proper prep the paint would hold up fine right?!?! well this is what it looks like already....

Fender flares are starting to look similair....paint is just flaking off...Now I'm no expert, but when I rub my fingers over the fender flares I still feel all the little bumps from the stock plastic...proper prep would be a good sand and such...then the paint would have no problems adhering right?!? I mean I've seen painted ones all the time....

For any of you that may want to look....here's more pics of the terrible work..http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/hotsta...y_photos..Shop was also supposed to put dynamat Xtreme in all my doors. I took them apart to check based on the crappy outside work and was disgusted to find they didn't even do one door at all, let alone not complete coverage in the others......

So again, I'd just like some back up that some have you have painted the flares or lower valance on the front so when they tell me it's just not gonna work that I can tell em if they do things the right way it will be fine.....Thanks ALL!!!

Dude, did you really let MAACO paint your truck!??? Because i'm confused, you said CUSTOM paint job, but then in your gallery it says MAACO. But anyway, not really meaning to be a ****, it just happens naturally

In any case, how much did it cost is the real question. The paint job you got pictured looks like a $500-$1000 job. Plain and simple, that's what you get for a grand.
But honestly, it looks almost as bad as their 299.99 special paint job.

In any case, the paint job you get on a truck from the factory is worth about $5000 in hard labor and paint materials. That's just how it is...

So what's the story behind the reason you painted it anyway?

Yeah it's from Maaco, and I had never heard of them B4....The location I went to was touted as the #1 corporate store and they had PLENTY of pics of custom vehicles they had done and about 20 bays STACKED with cars. I also believed their pitch because they said if I ever had any problems they were a nation wide company and they had a good warranty. I paid Just under $5000 for everything.....

Do they have a bad rep?!?! I mean price wise They were charging about what I've paid for my past vehicles??

and again, anyone know about the plastics..fender flares and lower air dam in specific

MACCO is the WORST company to EVER get a car or truck panted EVER!! Do not ever go there again! You will never ever be satisfied with there results. Actually I'm surprised they have not been shut down yet. I have never talked to anyone that was happy with a Macco Product paint job. Macco is for very cheep paint, that people use to paint a car really quick to get it looking decent for it to sell to another buyer. There is no such thing as a high quality paint from Macco, not even close.

Hopefully this comment will be taken correctly... I REALLY like your truck, but you got hosed on the paint job. I can see the paint and paint process being expensive due to what you had done... MAACO does the WORST prep work I have ever seen. Most of the time they can paint well, but it is the prep work that they are horrible at most of the time. I used to work at a dealership during college detailing, and they used to have MAACO paint work vans for $500... The overspray, improper prep, not masking stuff off, etc... Is the same on your $5000 paint job as their $500 paint job. The paint looks good, but they did a horrible job prepping it, and masking it off...

Words could not describe how angry I would be if that was my truck. Personally, I would not trust them to be able to fix it correctly... I would try to get my money back, and take it to a place that actually did good work.. Sorry for your situation, because I know how mad I would be if I was in your shoes. Your truck looks great, but I would definitely make them refund the money so you could have someone else redo it... Good luck!

Ok see I've thought about this and I'm going to give them a shot to fix it almost knowing full well i will not have a proper product returned....Then, i will go for a refund, but until then I will give them a shot to fix ALL the problems. And in fact I'm going to print out all these comments to take in tomorrow with me to show them....

So again, some people can chime in about the fender flares and such, I know alot of you have had this done and have had it hold up...

yes, but NOT buy Maaco! Don't get your truck worked on by them again! They will more then likely ***** something else up on your truck more then they already did! The guy that told you from Maaco that they have a good reputation was lying his *** off. Don't mess your truck up anymore then it already is man, demand your money back and get it done right somewhere else. If you have Maaco do it over again, the paint won't last no more then 2 years MAX without is fading, or chipping off.

I'm just trying to save you the hassle your going to get yourself in, demand your money back, learn by your mistake, and don't look back. It sounds like you care a lot for your truck, but your doing it no good with Maaco. I'm not trying to be a ****, but your truck will look like shi* getting it painted by Maaco again.
