The best paint work I have had done or seen was done by a shop that worked on Vettes. With them being glass they can be a pain to get paint to stick.I hit a couple local Vette clubs and asked about body shops. The first one I hit was about a mile away and they rock. They just did my 06 bumper swap paint and all and it looks freaking sweet. So look for a body shop that is heavy into vettes.

silverbullet5.4--the factory paint on the 2 2006 fords we own isn't bad at all, i guess we got good ones...i'm actually very impressed with the black factory paint on both, much moreso than the gm i traded in

hotstang--i can relate somewhat to your situation...we had some teenage punks damage the front of our mustang with eggs before we even got it home to our garage...long story short, i ran them down and got an id, and we made the mistake of letting a local ford shop do the body work...they did a horrible, pathetic job and it cost us a lot of time and grief, but i stood my ground, my wife wrote letters, and finally, the head of the paint shop was fired due to an ongoing investigation by the district attorney's office for wide-scale insurance fraud...we recieved a refund for what we were out of the deal, and now we can have a pro shop fix the damage...the jerk at the ford shop actually had the audacity to tell me, as if it would make me feel better, that they were really only in the business of cosmetic work to satisfy insurance jobs

you might have a long fight, but don't be afraid to be extremely assertive and don't compromise a bit--they need to take responsibility for their poor job and make it right again

I appreciate the words.....I'm going to pick up the truck now and will be posting on the other thread I started on what they have given me this time...I am definately not going to faulter with this, if it were a hundred bucks i may not quite be as tenacious but there's too much money involved here.
