Everyone is free to do whatever they want with their truck........sell it, trade it, junk it, give it away.....whatever.

That's not the point.

The point is.......When someone posts that they are selling/trading their truck, and are going to lose 10 to 15 thousand dollars in the deal, and then say the reason is to save $30 a week on gas.....well, that needs to be rebuked.

If you want to get rid of the truck, then do it.....but don't blame it on the price of gas. If $30 a week puts you in financial trouble, you were way overextended to begin with.

Friends shouldn't let friends make stupid decisions.

You think you're smarter than these guys, fine. You think what they're doing isn't very smart, fine. Do you have to jump on EVERY SINGLE ONE? Does it make you feel superior? I hope so.

lol, Kool-Aid...don't even try. It's literally worse than talking to a wall. Just let it go...let them ruin their own lives and enjoy the fact that you know you won't be wasting your money like them anytime soon.

I will never sell another truck again. Or trade one in without getting another one. The reason why?

In 2004, I had a BEAUTIFUL 2002 F-150 Supercrew Lariat 4x4. Bought it from a friend for $23k green cash and it had like 20k miles on it. It was amazing. Had Gibson exhaust, K&N Intake, Billet Grille, etc..

I put some 33" x 12.50 Nitto TG's on it, with a set of American Racing 058 rims and leveled the front end out. It was badass. But then I went to the dealer one day for an oil change and got a wild hair up my ***, and traded it in on a Mustang, under the pretense of "gas mileage sucks and I can't afford to fill the truck up anymore." Straight swap, truck for the Mustang, still no payments. I thought I would be happy, but I had that Mustang 4 months, and it got traded in on the STX that I had, which in turn got traded in on the '05 Lariat and now the '06 XLT 4x4. So I kinda have my truck back in a way.... but not really.

I saw some mexican guy driving it the other day, and it's trashed. It's a shame that people don't care about vehicles the way I do. That truck was awesome. Here's a pic:

There's more in my gallery, if you're interested. I've always said that if that truck was ever traded in at any local dealer I would find it and buy it back, just for sentiments sake. I still miss it to this day...

OR.......they could do what I did.....buy a $400 honda to drive back and forth to work (110 miles/day) and drive the truck everywhere else......of course this has turned out to be false economics also.....because the $400 purchase wasn't QUITE reliable enough to make a 55 mile trek down I-95 every day, and now I have about $5000 in it.....That would have paid for a LOT of gas!
