exactly.
I know you're not aloud to shoot someone for braking in your car but you can sure scare the sh#T out of them.

God bless Texas... you can shoot someone if they are stealing your private property.

Disclaimer: you'll probably be sued for wrongful death by said criminals family.

I hate thieves, a while back someone tried to break in into our old house thru my back window but what he didnt realize was that my two rottweilers were taking a nap under the trampoline and when they heard the glass break the dogs attacked him, the thief is in jail for quite a while because he broke probation and house arrest, but it was great to see my dogs bite his ***, legs, and arms.
Sorry to hear about your truck

I hate that happened but thats why I have a zero deductible on comprehensive...someone steals mine I get a check from State Farm for what I paid for them. Hell I dont even lock mine up at night.

Back in the mid 90s I was trying to sell my 86 Eddie Bauer Bronco and while it was parked in a parking lot somone stole my entire system out of it...I got more from insurance for the busted glass, broke dash and stolen system than I was trying to sell the truck for!

Dude that sux bad. At least they didn't screw up the dash or slice up your wiring harness. All thieves deserve a horrible death.

I live in San Antonio, but the incident happen on a road trip in Ciudad Acuña, Mexico. As far as what alarm system that I have on my truck, it’s the factory alarm system. Yeah, I know I’m an idiot for not upgrading to a better alarm system. I’ve had many people tell me in the past to upgrade to a better alarm system considering the truck that I have, but I’ve always been procrastinating on upgrading. Well, now I’ve learned my lesson. So currently I’m researching better alarm systems for my truck. They broke into my truck the same way that they got into Austinite’s truck (by punching in the lock cylinder). I left my truck for about two hours, which gave the crook(s) enough time to undo and take out my JL Stealth box and Nav head unit. Luckily, they didn’t steal the truck itself otherwise I would have been stranded.

i debated over and over again about replacing my factory radio with a nav system or even a better radio with built in sirius. i was worried about theft and didnt want my truck getting messed up so i got a plug and play sirius s50. whats good about this plug and play is that it is pretty small so you can take it out and stick it in your pocket if your out and about. at night i always take it in the house with me. just pop it off the dock and take it with you. and where i have it mounted you really cant even tell i have it in my car.

LOL...yeah you can't do much worse than the factory alarm, since there isn't one. Its a very common misconception that since the horn beeps when you lock it and there is a flashing red light on the dash that there is an alarm, but there is not one. Don't believe me??? Leave the window down...lock the doors with the remote...then reach in and unlock it. Nothing. You can go farther if you want...lock the doors and bust the window...but the result will be the same....nothing (because there is no alarm!)
