I am getting a vibrating noise coming from my truck when I start it up when its cold it will make the noise especially when I put the truck in reverse. Does anyone have any idea what this noise is? It’s driving me crazy. I thought it was my Airaid intake shield but I don’t think it is but I could be wrong all the bolts are on good. Any help with this would be great. If anyone else has had this please let me know.

 

I had a 05 that did the same thing. It was one of the heat shields on the exhaust. I just went under there and started tapping on thing and found it that way.

 

thanks that should help ill check it out when i get home. Did you just take the sheild off?

 

No I just bent it a little bit and it stopped. But just like yours it would only do it when it was cold. So I did it in the morning before i drove it.

I know what you mean, I even took it to a dealer and they couldn’t even find it. I didn’t even want to leave my house in the morning if a neighbor was outside That truck ended up being a Lemon and Ford did a buyback, (Fuel Injector & Vibration Problems). Now I have a 06.

 

Mine was the one around the Cat on the pasinger side.
