I too vote for the Undercover, but the security is not that great. At the front you remove two key ring type rings and the front comes off, not to mention the locks are not too strong. I don't think you could pry it up with bare hands, but with tools any lock will give way. But they look good for black and don't show scratches. I can take it off myself too.

I am interested in the elocks, or even just better locks????

Man now those e-locks have me needing to spend more money!
I just bought a hard painted to match fiberglass shell today. I won't get it for a couple of weeks, but man e-locks seem like the way to go. I hope someone posts about their experience with them. Oh by the way UC covers look great on some trucks. But on mine I would have to paint it. I know UC says you can paint to match, but I haven't heard of anyone with experience with that. Some or these new hi-tech polymyers don't hold paint to well, but nuttin' wrong with UC. IMHO

It doesn't make much difference but I drilled out the front retaining holes and put two small masterlocks in place of the keyrings. Easier to get on and off and a little more secure.

But you know what they say...locks only keep honest people honest.

Hard Tonneau

I have an Undercover on my truck and really like it. If you want security, and a tough Tonneau, go for a Heruloc. They do not make it for the SCREW, but it is avaliable for many other body styles. It is utilitarian rather than pretty.

Another vote for Undercover, and I did the same thing as Vader. Those little key rings were a PITA to deal with.

Snuglid. Simply the best, or at least I think so.

Dont get me wrong, I love my ARE LS II top, but to take it off is a pain and impossible without another person. It weighs like a monster, You could probably stand on top of it but wound't risk it (too pretty ).
The shocks are great, E lock is awesome, carpet and optional bed light are great features. If you plan on taking this top on and off alot its not for you.
And the installation is not difficult, i've learned from taking it off "once". The price sounds about right. I paid w/ install $1050. If anything I would have bought the snuglid, but they pushed the A.R.E. so much I fell for it.

Not the greatest pics, but you get the idea.

I like the Leer covers and will probably be getting one for my truck this fall (before winter hits).

Well, I went to see a couple of dealers in my area, and was talked out of the Undercover lid by both of them. It gets very hot here, and they have had problems with that top warping. Next on the list was the Leer. I didn't like the mounting, it seemed to be too complicated, and a PITA to remove. Snugtop doesn't make one to fit the S/Cab flareside with a 6.5' box. I'm going to look at the ARE, and from what I've seen online, that prolly the one I'll get.

I'm going to buy an Undercover very soon. I like the fact that it's strong enough to support my weight and that I can easily remove it when needing to haul something. Plus, my truck is black and it blends well.

But luckily the truck is garage kept so the warping shouldn't be a problem. And it doesn't get just overly hot here. We just about never see 100+ temps.

But, if I were to buy a fiberglass, it would hands down be the snug-top. I'm sorry, but in my opinion it has the best profile of all glass tops. Almost like it's not even there due to it's super-slim profile which I love.

Good luck choosing!!
