Good Lord!

I've said it before and I'll say it again - BP gas is the absolute worse gasoline you can put in your car/truck!

I would get no brand-name/ma' and pa' gas any day of the week BEFORE I put that British Petroleum [gas] garbage. I'd rather run dry and push the damn thing .. .. .. you get the idea, right?

Take it from someone who has had fuel line/fuel filter/fuel injection problems in the past on several vehicles AS WELL AS friends vehicles .. .. all related to British Petroleum .. .. .. ALL of them!

Maybe I'll elaborate one day, but in the mean time, if you give a squirt of monkey's **** about your ride, don't listen to Ford's bedroom tactics with BP.

Stay clear!

Shell for me all the way.

Ford likely tied in with BP because BP is investing more money in alternative fuel methods and new types of fuel for vehicles than any other oil company. It was mentioned in a special I watched in liberallnn, I mean CNN the other day.

What I think is funny about the BP sticker is we took my wifes 05 Explorer in because the "check engine" light started coming on and the gas gauge would quit working when you filled the tank. After the tank dropped below half full the "check engine" light would go out and the gas gauge appeared to work.
The dealer said Ford recommends running 3 tanks of Chevron with Techron gas through the system before they can perform any repair.
Of course after 3 tanks of Chevron gas, which is not convenient to where we live, the situation was not cured and they had to drop the tank and replace a part. The new part fixed the problem.
In our case Ford recommended Chevron, not BP. The service guy even looked to see if we had the BP sticker on our gas cap, we don't.

Can't say I agree with ya Grub...

I've used Amoco for years in my Mustang and never had anything but the best of luck with it. I've since switched in recent years (2) but for 10+ years I was very happy with Amoco (BP)

Ford has a hand in one pocket while BP is diggin in the other.

Why does it make me sick to see auto manufacturers and big oil in bed together?

I don't know.
All I know is hatin feels good.
