SSPIRO... has overspray on the programmer. WTF? did you paint the pod with the programmer in it?

Since viewing 05RedFX4... That matches so much better. How much was the paint? I mean did the paint shop mix you a thimbel full or what? I do like your color match better but, I think I would have sanded the pod to remove the texture marks. What was your cost? I want mine to match as close as possible

Excellent personalizing by both of you... Please do not take my remarks as sarcastic. I am just a casual observer. Great job!!! BE

No, there is no overspray. The programmer was no where near the pod when I painted it.. Actually, the programmer was about 6 miles down the road.

Awesome! I'm getting ready to toss in a center channel in that worthless dash tray and this will help hide it all! Thanks SSprio!

was the color you had mixed close to anything they had on the shelf?? id like to not spend a fortune on a tiny bit of paint for this little pod. it looks really good though painted to match, instead of black.

I got a half quart of paint, one of those disposable aerosol sprayers, and some thinner to clean up the sprayer or any mistakes for 20 bucks

They used one of those optical color match scanners to get a starting point, then he tweaked it until the color was just right.

Not in between, no.. I sanded prior to primer. Took my time and used an orbital.

I painted mine yesterday, the color matched pretty close in the store, but after i painted it its way to dark. should i sand it off and start over? or primer it and paint a new color on top? the color i bought was dark sandstone grey, the cap of the spray can matches but the actual color dont. .

I've got a question that's a little off subject but still in reference to the edge. Could the edge control box possiably fit in the ash tray of the flow through console? I've currently got my XM radio reciever in mine but will be taking it out as soon as my new head unit arrives.

Yep, it has been done. Search around on here, I remember reading the thread where some folks did that. The tray required a little modidfication but it does fit.
