Painted the Edge pod this weekend..

Thanks to some tips from other members..

The paint:

Before:

After the sanding (after the pic I cleaned up a few more spots):

After the paint:

Very easy to do. Sanded the pod with 220 grit paper and a Dewalt orbital random.. Then 3 coats of primer, then 3 coats of dark gray color. No clear coat.

Matches perfectly, very pleased!

Give the paint code for the gray color, please. I can't seem to read all of it in the picture. Thanks.

Awesome job!!!

I was afraid of using any paper that was too abrasive on mine that's why I went with the 600 grit (I had never sanded plastic before). 220 seems to have worked great and it probably didn't take you nearly as long as it took me.

I must agree it looks very good. I should have used that dark gray myself. Oh well next time. Kudos for you.

Im going to redo mine this weekend after seeing this. . but one question, do you guys think I'll need to buy the same primer for the same results? I have a plastic primer that I got from an automotive paint store, can I just use that?

The primer shouldn't make a difference. Put three coats of paint on it and you will be good.
