Car seat

Found out about two weeks ago that I am having twin boys!!! I'm sure someone has had a carseat in the back of their scab. Is it easy or a pain in the A$$?

Congrats on the twins. I have the screw because of 2 small boys.

Don't you mean you have 2 small boys because of a Screw?

First and foremost...CONGRATS on your twins. Second...WOW...your gonna have your hands full. Third...Man, enjoy them while you can!!! For the most part, I was away A LOT while my 14 & 11 yr old were growing up...I can thank the military for that. But, other than missing the first 6 months of my 22 month old...I've been able to spend more time with him than my first 2 and love every minute of it!!!

About the car seat thing...it's not a PITA for me because I have a SCrew and it's easier than the suicide doors of a SCab (especially when parked next to other vehicles). The wife bitches about it when Byan Jr does ride in the truck...only because my truck is lifted and she's 5'4". I have no problem with getting him in out of the car seat like she does. But, for the most part...we usually take the SUV for family outings.

The suicide doors will be a major PITA when parked next to other vehicles! I have trouble getting my 8, 6, and 4 year old in the back seat when parking is tight.

The LATCH system will make it nice though. No need to use the seat belts...just hook your car seats directly to the LATCH irons in between the seat bottom and back.

Those metal loops work great, but only while the kid seats are facing back. When you turn them around to face forward you need the seat belts. Dont forget about the hook on top by the windows.

Congrats! We have our hands full with a 3 year old girl and almost 1 year old boy. I can only imagine with twins. Good luck and enjoy them!

The kids are the reason I have the supercrew. It is very tight with rear facing seats in the back of a scab...especially with two!

Nope, when you turn them around, you still use the LATCH anchors in the seat (unless, of course, your car seat instructions say not to use the anchors when turned around), but you also need to use the tether by the window (which is a PITA by the way).

My Four year old still uses his car seat as a booster. We HAVE to use the seatbelt.

My seats say when you face the seats forward you need the seat belts. My kids are 1 and 3 also.

I had a SCAB and for the first 4 months of my daughters life she rode in that. But believe me it is a major PITA if you have anybody over 5'6" sitting in the passenger seat. Fuggedaboutit if you want to get them in and out in a side by side parking lot. I traded in my '05 SCAB for an '06 Screw and now I have absolutely no problems whatsoever. The supercrew is a lifesaver if you have kids.

My seats were abole to use the latch system forward and rear facing....it was w eight issue, not a seat position issue.

Congrats on the twins, I have 4.5yr twin old boys....just selling the Odyssey, and got an F150 Screw....seats fit fine, boys love the new truck!

Not to bash pickups, but that Odyssey was an incredible van....especially with twins. Loading & unloading with babies is made much easier with large power sliding doors...now I have to worry about my kids opening the door and smashing a nother car! Actually, the doors are childproofed....probabaly let them have access to opening when they are about 16!
